"I wish I was Dalek. I think it would be great."

She sat on a sofa, feet up on the coffee table, and laptop resting on her thighs. A cord connected her wrist computer to the laptop, loading all kinds of files while she sifted through codes trying to reprogram a few of the features. Anything to keep her busy, and thankfully she'd been brought here with more then enough of her things to tinker with to at least keep her amused for a little while.

"I'd roll around the corridors, and cry "Exterminate!" And I will swivel my dome head around, and everytime you walk I will watch very carefully with my eye upon a stalk."

A dalek was one of the last things she'd want to be. A cockroach was preferable to those alien toe-rags. She liked the poem though, it was pretty funny. Ace and friends she'd served with had always come up with chants, poems, songs, anything to keep them entertained. Ways to lighten the mood between fighting so they didn't focus on how many friends they lost.

"And I will terrorise the cities. All the folk will scream and shout, and I will be invincible 'til my batteries run out."

She grinned as the right program opened on her screen, and cracked her knuckles before going to work. It'd been a while since she'd programmed anything, but what better time to refresh her memory? Not like she had anything better to do, and this mapping program might come in handy. Sort of a mapquest of the future. Typically she could use it, load information into a PDA or her holodeck to find her way around any city in any time. Unfortunately, the information in it had all of Earth's cities loaded in it, and was useless here. All she had to do though was make it so everywhere she went here was stored in the device's memory, and after another trip around the resort she'd have the whole thing mapped out. Then maybe she'd try going out into the desert, once she had this to help her find the way back.

"Ther-wait! No! Damn it. I didn't want to delete those...Three hundred cities. Gone." The brunette groaned, trying to bring back the files she'd only meant to put in back-up storage, but they were completely erased. Ace yawned and ran a hand through her hair, glancing at the wrist processor/watch, and taking note of the time. She'd heard of some kind of party later, and had every intention of going. A little fun, meet some new people, hopefully see Bones again...Right now though -- "I could use some coffee." She stated, glancing around in search of one of the golem things.

Ianto forced a smile for a moment to be polite. He didn't really want to talk about Canary Wharf with someone he'd only just met. By people, he really meant Lisa, and he'd failed her. She'd died and had become a shell of herself, slowly drifting away from him until that day at Torchwood Three.

Switching the conversation, he was silent for a moment before he asked, "The TARDIS is here?" The way he said it made it seem like he wasn't quite sure to be happy or glad about that. If he was completely honest with himself, he had always wanted to see the inside of the famous blue box...

"Yeah. She's stuck though, won't move an inch." She answered. That would be her new goal though while she was here. Granted, if the Doctor couldn't coax the old girl into moving, Ace didn't stand much of a chance, but that wouldn't stop her from trying. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time she'd figured something out about the TARDIS that the Doctor hadn't known about.

"Still, it's nice. A little piece of home on this rock." Ace commented, more to herself really. She'd been a lot more thankful then she let on when she found out the Doctor was here, but he was the closest thing to family she had anymore.

"I've never seen it," Ianto admitted. "Always wondered what it was like on the inside." He slowly grinned. "I know it's bigger," he added with a chuckle. "I've seen photos of it and through a CCTV once or twice but never the real thing."

"It used to be clean cut, white walls, the center console in the middle very neat -- he changed the desktop theme though. Now it's all metal and I think the theme is coral or something. It's not just big though, it's huge. We used to have a swimming pool if that gives you any idea. I've never even managed to see every room." She explained. Ianto seemed nice, and if he met the Doctor she doubted the timelord would have a problem showing off the TARDIS, but Ace wouldn't promise him that.

"Jack's described it to me before. His room here looks like his old room in the TARDIS so I suppose I know a bit about what it looks like because of that. Not the room with the center console, though. It... seems to be quite a powerful spaceship," he remarked, thinking about the Doctor had used it to bring the Earth back where it belonged.

"She's a very powerful old ship." Ace agreed, having picked up the Doctor's habit of thinking of the ship as a 'she' rather than an 'it.' "I'm sure if you really wanted to see it, the planet could give you a good replica of at least the console room." She commented with a light shrug.

"That's alright," Ianto told her. "Jack's room looks close enough, I'm sure." He paused for a moment, unsure of what to say next. It'd been very nice talking with Ace even though he'd originally come down to read.

"Ah well, nothing can really compare to the real thing. Much more impressive." She commented, closing her computer, and gathering the devices. "Nice talkin' with you, Ianto. I best get going though. Things do do. See you around." Ace said, rising to her feet.

Ianto smiled and nodded in reply. "It was a pleasure. See you around, Ace." He waited until she left the room, then settled back to get down to some reading.
