Day 9
Who: Giselle & Doc
What: Playing Games
When: Afternoon
Where: Sitting Room
Rating: G
Status: Complete

After replying to the Doctor's message, Giselle scurried from her room. She was wearing a lavender dress today, and it set off her red hair brilliantly. Her feet, clad in matching slippers, skipped down the hall of the lodging unit to the door. She could hear the storm raging outside and shuddered slightly. She did not like storms.

She rushed through the main building until she arrived at the sitting room. Pushing the door open, she realized that she had probably arrived before the Doctor. She glanced around the peaceful room. It was quiet and had such lovely comfortable chairs and sofas. She, like Goldilocks, began to try them all out to see which one she wanted.

She sat in a beanbag chair and nearly fell over backwards, her legs flying up in the air most unlady like. "Oh!" She righted herself as quickly as she could and shot to her feet giving the beanbag a dirty look. "Humph." She turned and saw a wicker chair. She sat down and crossed her ankles, her hands folded primly in her lap. Too hard.

Standing she moved to the sofa for two. It had big fluffy cushions and padded armrests. She sat down and slowly began to sink into the cushions. She giggled and tried to pull herself up. After a few seconds of struggling, she was able to get hold of the armrest and pull herself out of it. She moved to a big chair that looked both comfortable and sturdy and sat down.

She didn't sink, and she was quite happy with her choice. She clapped her hands and waited for the Doctor to arrive.

The Doctor gave her an exaggerated pout of sadness as she told him how sorry she was, but his expression quickly changed to a smile with her next sentence. "Do I..what?!" he asked, unable to stop himself from laughing. "No, no, no... oh, you're just too nice, Giselle!" he giggled, reaching out to pat her hand affectionately. "Don't worry about me!"

He gave a little cheer as she moved up a ladder, and accepted the dice for another roll. "No! You're doing so well!" he exclaimed, rolling the dice for himself, and moving a few spaces before handing them back to her. "Go on, lady luck!"

She giggled at his obvious delight at her comment. She didn't see what was so funny about it, but she didn't want to feel stupid by asking. So she just played along and shrugged.

She rolled the dice when they were handed back to her and found herself also at the top of a snake. She slid down to the bottom with a pout that quickly turned back into a grin.

They played this way until one of them won. Giselle was pleased that she'd learned a new game and was able to spend more time with the Doctor. She thoroughly enjoyed his company. He was entirely too nice to her, though.

"I would like to take another look in the art gallery when you get a free moment. That is, if you don't mind explaining more of the art in there. I saw some new ones that weren't there before." She spoke as they put the games away and chatted a bit.

After a while it was time for them to part ways and Giselle stood. Flinging her arms around the Doctor she hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek. "You really are the most wonderful man. Thank you for teaching me to play Snakes and Ladders. Have a good day, Doctor!"

She flounced out of the room and headed back to her residence to wait out the storm.
