What: Lucas visits Layla after finishing playing basketball and leaves Layla a note.

Lucas had played some basketball on the court. Then he went back to his room and took a quick shower. He walked to Layla's room and knocked. He got no answer so he walked back to his room and wrote her a note. He walked back to her room and slid it under her door.

Dear Layla,

I called to your room and you weren't there so I decided to leave you a note. I miss you and would love to meet up with you. So when you get this note, I hope you'll call into my room and maybe we could do take a walk and get some coffee or something.

I hope that you come and I'll be waiting for you,
Your Lucas.

He walked back to his room and turned on the TV as he waited for her, hoping she'd show up.

"So many people said it and it just hurts. It all hurts. I miss my confidants, the people who know me so intimately. I don't have that here, not yet. What if it never happens, what if something happens to you, to us? What if I...I never thought I was so horrendous, but may be I was lying to myself." Layla was pretty drunk, overly drunk and sense and logic had no business here.

Layla's answer to his comment was to first put her hand over his heart, feeling it thump there, then she laid her ear against his chest, listening to it thump. "Beautiful music." Layla rubbed her cheek against him, then got still, movement was the enemy. Her body and mind was finally calming. "Never wanna leave." Then a few beats later, "my mouth tastes like, hot ass."

	Layla brushed her teeth, and mouth a couple of times. Rinsing over and over. Wishing for some mouthwash, it suddenly appeared. Layla picked some up and swirled it around her mouth.
