open 🌸 all week
[It’s officially winter time – the days are longer, the nights are cold, and there are winter directions all around Miracle Country. There’s a light dusting of snow all over the islands, often the afternoons marked with little snow flurries.

And it seems that the world is getting into the spirit, too. Yes, with the winter directions – lights, snowflakes, ribbons – there is also something perhaps a little more mischievous.

All throughout the islands, there is magical mistletoe appearing. It will come at random and anyone unfortunate enough to pass under them will find themselves captured there. They won’t be able to get free until someone comes along to rescue them.

And how can you rescue your friends from being captured? It depends. Once two people are caught under the mistletoe together, they’ll be prompted through magic what it is they need to do. It can be anything, from romance to violence.

The mistletoe are indestructible and they won’t disappear until the task is completed. So you stubborn people out there, be prepared for a long, long wait. Especially since the mistletoe is content to stay around – and it will be randomly popping up for the next week or so, so better be cautious!]

[Still looks pretty visibly uncomfortable. What even.]

I don't... Huh?

Ah, well. There we have it.

Need you a minute? [So considerate. The most considerate. Give Sebastian a medal.]

... Let's just get this over with.

Very well.

[And helpfully, there's music. Sebastian pauses mid-steps and looks up... not that there's really a source to the music.

Well. Helpful, or something.]

I do believe this is waltz music. [Or, well, know. Sebastian isn't in the habit of being mistaken.]

Do you waltz, by any chance?

[Nods a little, looking embarrassed.]

I know most styles. Um... I study dance to help with my skating.

[In Victorian England, nobility of either gender are supposed to know their dance steps and if you don't you're not a real man, so. luckily (??) no judgement from Sebastian. For once.]

Excellent, then - that simplifies matters. It is not considered all that proper in every social circle, after all.

["When you waltz, the man and the woman dance so scandalously close and it's very risque", he means (obviously).]

... Well, do you know how to waltz? [Since it's oh so very improper for you.] Should I lead or would you rather?

I said it is considered improper by some, not that I would therefore neglect to learn it. [:>]

[Of course he knows how to. When in doubt, the assumption should always be that Sebastian knows how to do stuff.]

I can dance either part with equal ease. [...Se previous brackets text.] Lately I have had more experience following [because of "my master can't dance and someone needs to teach him" reasons], but please choose whichever role you do better with.

[Can he choose to do neither and then he can wake up from a nightmare plz...] [... no? okay then.]

[Holds out his hand to him with sigh.] I can lead.

[Excuse you: dozens of people would envy Yuuri the chance to dance with Sebastian (seeing as he's so dreamy and all), especially considering what an excellent dancer he is. "Nightmare" nothing.]

Very well.

[Sebastian accepts the outstretched hand, placing his other hand on Yuuri's in the correct position - with all the ease and confidence of someone who knows exactly what they're doing and also isn't particularly bothered by the "improperness" of all this.]

[NIGHTmarE!!1]

[Although once they do start dancing, it's clear that. Yuuri actually knows what he's doing. He might know!1 he sucks at a lot of things, but he knows he's good at dancing, and it shows.]

[Well. Sebastian, for one, both enjoys doing things well and appreciates talented people... so being the kind of considerate person who cares about other people's comfort he is, he actually looks to start genuinely enjoying this once it becomes clear Yuuri knows what he's doing. Needless to say Sebastian keeps up with ease, and the music probably picks up the pace once it becomes clear they can both handle it.]

[Well, it's nice to actually be able to dance with someone who knows what they're doing even if it isn't Victor :'( So yes, all the dancing - able to match the pace through the whole song.]

Well-

[Sebastian comments as the dance comes to an end and they can finally let go of one another,]

I suppose this world has its occasional positive sides. You are an excellent dancer, Mr Katsuki.

[Because that was fun! Being forced aside... And here, no one gives a damn if a Phantomhive butler dances with another man in the middle of the street.]

Ah, I had not known dancing was part of a skater's training. It seems a good practice, now that you mention it.

Ah, well, ballet is normal in training, especially for our choreography. But not many skaters start out with dancing, or trying other styles. [Yuuri, naturally, goes above and beyond and doesn't recognize that he's doing so.]

Huh... And yet it seems so beneficial for what you can achieve in skating?

[Why don't more people learn other dancing styles? ...Look, you can't ask of Mr Overachiever here to recognise when someone else is overachieving.]

It's true... but most practice time is devoted to skating, of course, so that's why usually it's only ballet. [don't have time to devote to other things they might not need.]

[He nods, understanding. That makes sense. With a hint of conversationalist interest:]

But you have had time for more than one additional style of dance, yes?

Oh, well, I've just been luckier than some that I had a place I could go and practice whenever I wanted, growing up and before I went to the United States.

Oh? A dance teacher, then? It is my understanding that tutors for it are far scarcer in the future.
