So, I was thinking that tonight maybe we should have a sleepover. You know, like a really big, all of us sleepover. Probably in the shelter. Our house isn't really big enough for all of us. But I thought then we could have fun and everyone could be together and safe in case it happens again.

We could have games and snacks and tell bedtime stories and whatever else you're supposed to do during sleepovers.

[Kind of a long pause and his voice isn't so upbeat anymore, but he tries not to make it overly sad either.]

I don't know if you saw the list of all the people who are gone today, but he's on it, and I don't think it's a mistake.
