[Josak had planned to go out to pick up groceries and other supplies today. Simple. Easy. Things were already getting weird enough today from what he had heard over the network.
He hadn't expected that stepping out into the fake light of the prison would leave him feeling as if he'd just burned his eyes by looking directly into the real sun. It hurts and his eyes water so he steps back into the shadow of the building. It's going to be hard to get to the convenience store like--
--and everything goes dark and it's as if he's in a tunnel moving so fast he can barely catch his breath. There's light at the end and he wants to get to it, wants to figure out what's going on. The light is so bright he has to blink--
--And he opens his eyes to find himself stand in the shadow of a building directly across the street from the convenience store. That was...far too strange for his liking.]
I read in one of the books at the library that "May you live in interesting times" is a curse. Anyone want to guess whose bad side they got on this week?
