[Vash is sprawled out in a hammock suspended between two trees in the park. He's going between dozing lightly and petting brownie who is asleep at his side. His communicator is turned off and set aside. Without Knives here he doens't feel compelled to be listening to the network all day today. Besides, he already has too much buzzing in his head.]
[He's tying not to think about it, but the fact he woke up alone in his bed this morning upset him. He's not sure what he did wrong the night before, but apparently he screwed things up with Conrad. He also feels guilty and angry with himself that he is upset that Conrad wasn't there in the first place. Conrad probably thinks he's too clingy. Or maybe he begrudges the fact Vash doesn't want to share all the dark secrets of his past? ...Maybe Conrad can see though Vash and knows the truth? Vash couldn't blame him for that, but it would still break his heart.]
[The only decision Vash makes for sure is that he's going to avoid Conrad unless Conrad initiates the interaction. It's a decision that makes Vash unhappy, but he figured it's the best thing to do.]
[Vash heaves a soft sigh, and scraches behind Brownie's ear. The things Joshua said are sticking in his mind too, and even if he knows what the words mean, he doesn't understand the message. He knows he can't fix things that have already happened. Vash can't go back in time and change the past. If only he had Sentience's power, maybe he could save everyone in at least a few more timelines... But that's not likely to happen.]
[It's strange for Vash to be in such a pessimistic mood. He doesn't wear gloomy well, but it is pretty obvious he has a lot on his mind.]
