	I'd be more pissed if I hadn't been warned of the whole concept when the... ["my" is hard to say] kids showed up that one day. I'm not saying it's... laid out for me, necessarily, but this seems to show a potential outcome. Really... linearly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

So I potentially die [like she somewhat expected she would one day] or I have a crop of kids with a guy from a different universe all together.

At least... there's options, I guess. I just wish I knew more about... whatever was going on in those. [Gestures to the photos, the ones she has no recollection of.] It's unnerving... but at the same time it kind of has me relieved in a weird way.

Well, I... I kind of didn't know how things would work out. How do I get a happily ever after if I have a home to go back to? I felt really guilty about wanting to have this other timeline work out - I, well. [Confession time?] I decided to try and pursue it if I could, even if that made me feel like shit when it comes to leaving my world in peril. But if all my friends end up dying, if some of them are in limbo here and if I bite the bullet too?

[...] Maybe it just works out better, somehow. Maybe this is why I can count on- why I can hope for a different life. Or just a chance at it with Aidan. Without feeling shitty and selfish.

In a way he envied them a little bit, especially after Maeve's death - starting over someplace completely new sounded good some days. Then again, no family, no friends, no roots?

You deserve that... a chance at- at whatever happiness you can get. The fate of the world shouldn't be on your shoulders.

Thanks, Reid. I mean it - I really, really... mean it. Thank you. [Wiping her eye, she looks back up at him and it might be the littlest bit evident he's recharged a bit of her batteries with this little talk. How long had she been going on empty? She's not even sure.]

[ Okay, you know what? This conversation has gone on far too long without a hug. He steps in, still awkward, perhaps even more so than he was some weeks prior because these days he doesn't get a lot of physical contact and it's all too easy to fall into old habits. ]

It's hard enough to find someone you love. Don't let go of this. [ People die and leave a bleeding hole in your heart that'll never fully heal over. He's pretty sure he's out of chances, but maybe she can grab on to something good. ]

Let's hope you never have to find out. [ As much as he wants to go home, at this point he probably couldn't bring himself to do it if it meant leaving her behind. ] It's... kind of funny. Remember back in the old dome, when we went down that elevator?
