In a way he envied them a little bit, especially after Maeve's death - starting over someplace completely new sounded good some days. Then again, no family, no friends, no roots?

You deserve that... a chance at- at whatever happiness you can get. The fate of the world shouldn't be on your shoulders.

It's one thing to dwell on all this in your head, but it's something else entirely to have someone reassure you of your options. Of your choices.]

[ Okay, you know what? This conversation has gone on far too long without a hug. He steps in, still awkward, perhaps even more so than he was some weeks prior because these days he doesn't get a lot of physical contact and it's all too easy to fall into old habits. ]

It's hard enough to find someone you love. Don't let go of this. [ People die and leave a bleeding hole in your heart that'll never fully heal over. He's pretty sure he's out of chances, but maybe she can grab on to something good. ]

Let's hope you never have to find out. [ As much as he wants to go home, at this point he probably couldn't bring himself to do it if it meant leaving her behind. ] It's... kind of funny. Remember back in the old dome, when we went down that elevator?

[ A life time ago, but looking back that was the start of it, wasn't it? Forming a new team that's still around, even if it's just the two of them now. ]
