[Action]

What was the worst way to go from sitting in your robot lion, flying through a wormhole, ready to fight the being that had attempted to steal your lion, had been the one ultimately responsible for being captured on a mission to Kerberos?

Suddenly being in the water of course.

This was the lovely introduction Shiro had to Marina, finding himself suddenly in the water. It took him a moment to process what had happened before practically launching himself out of the water, finding himself standing on the beach? Where in the name of all things holy was he? ... And how did he end up in that awful looking jumpsuit? No one would every pick such a thing to wear.

It was while he was wading out of the water that he full processed the communicator, the welcome message displayed. As he read it, he had to sit back down. First instinct reacted unconsciously to "prison". Brief flashes from the Galra prison danced across his vision for a moment before he pressed one hand to his forehead, forcing them back.

That list of absurd "crimes" almost instantly became the least important priority. Where was the black lion? Where were the other paladins? Had he really just been separated them right before they were supposed to fight Zarkon?! There was no way that they could assemble Voltron without him! This stupid place had pretty much killed the other paladins, Allura, Coran, all of them!

His hands tightened into fists as he glared angrily at the wall of water on the other side of the dome. Then with his metal arm, he punched the ground as hard as he could.

"Quiznak..."

[It takes a bit before Shiro has collected himself in order to use the communicator, but this was very important. There's a concerned look on his face as he speaks]

So it seems that I have just arrived. I do have a few questions if someone can help me. I'm trying to find someone. Actually several people. Does anyone know if it is possible to figure out where they are?

Alternatively, is there any possible way to find out something that is going on back home? I need to know something that was going on back home.

	Believe me. I don't mind. I'll sleep easier that way. [As easily as he actually slept. He'd feel better in a strange place to have better positioning near the door to make sure everything was fine. Shiro just walked along side Keith, letting him lead the way] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[Keith studied him closely as they walked. He felt like there was something up about that, but he wasn't exactly sure what. He knew Shiro had nightmares and didn't sleep well to begin with since the Kerberos mission, and also that he had some other issues that made him freeze up or act more distant than usual, but he usually didn't pry too hard. He just usually tried to hopefully let Shiro know that he was there for him if he needed the support.]

	I'm sure. Don't worry about it. [Of the strange things Shiro could have done in response to his issues, this probably was the least strange. He understood that Keith was just trying to make sure he was alright, but at least for the time being, he felt like he had to do that. 	[There was a slight moment where Keith didn't answer, and just watched Shiro, but he let it go for now.] We can always find a place with another bedroom, too. Yeah.

[Not that he had a lot of stuff to move. The apartments were all pre-furnished, and he'd only been there four days. Keith wasn't much of a collector of things, either, so he wasn't like he had a ton of personal effects, or even would if he'd been here long enough to get anything.

He led Shiro up to the apartment, which Shiro might recognize Keith's visual representation of what information he'd been able to gather about the prison so far attached to one of the walls in the living area. He was already investigating the prison with what he knew, and he tended to absorb things better when he could map them out and find the relationships that way.]

I don't have much to eat right now, but there are some snacks in the kitchen. We've got our choice of places to eat around here, though. [He gave Shiro a pretty excited look at this part.] And they have food from Earth here. [Real food... not goo! No alien ingredients!]

[Shiro followed him up to the apartment, admiring the building as they went. Seemed very modern. Even more so when they entered the apartment. He paused by the door to look around, easily catching sight of Keith's wall, similar to the one he'd had in the house relating to the lions of Voltron. Somehow, he wasn't surprised to see it.

He didn't say anything about as he began to walk around. The last thing that Keith said really got his attention though]

Really? Earth food? That's amazing. It's been so long since we've had something like that.

[Yep... Shiro's excited about that too]

	[It was good to actually see a smile out of Keith. And over something as simple as food. But it was more than that as at the same time] I guess we will have to give them a try. Sounds good. [Keith shrugged.]

It was move-in ready.

[So, yeah... the only additions were his idea map and the few things in the kitchen that he'd gathered to eat over the past few days.]

I wasn't expecting anyone else, so I didn't think I'd need more than one bedroom.

[This coming from a kid who spent almost a year alone in a tiny, run-down shack in the middle of the desert.]

Well, yeah. It is pretty nice, I guess.

[Keith hadn't really thought about it, but... well, it was better than the shack, at least. It kind of reminded him of the Castleship. He nodded at the other part, finding a second bedroom. It wasn't like it was crowded in the prison with places at a premium.]

So, now that we have Earth food around... is there something you really want to have first?

[He smirked a little.]

	[Keith was definitely intrigued by the suggestion. With all the time spent in the southwest US over the past few years, he'd developed a liking for it, too.] There's a place called "Little Earth" in Sector 4 that has some Mexican stuff. We can try there. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	[Well, Shiro had spent some time there for his own training and before going on the mission so it was something he had gotten used to as well so it seemed like a good starting point] Great. Not really.

[Well, not all the time.]

I guess it depends on what you're into. People have suggested clubs, sports, jobs... apparently there's even a school if you want to teach or attend classes. [Keith didn't seem all that enthusiastic about the school.] There's also a library, a gym, a shooting range, horse stable... Well, I mean, all of it's labelled on the communicator map.

[He used his own communicator to show Shiro how to bring that up.]

The stuff here's pretty easy to figure out for the day-to-day stuff, especially since it apparently picks up on language preferences. No having to figure out Altean.
