Day 389 : Video/Action : Anniversary
[Kitty appears on the video with bruises from a failed strangling fading on her neck. Things got rough a couple of days ago.]

So, it's Day 389 which also means it's been a year since I got here. And since the only other one who made that length of time is gone now, I guess I'm the reigning champ of sticking around. Celebrate or mourn it with me at Lyrical I guess. Funny hats are a plus. [She doesn't really know how to feel about it, but she figures it will be better to be not alone.]

Everyone's invited. [That was for Reid. Just in case he forgot, but if newbies want to party too then she doesn't really mind. She'll be set up on a small, comfy couch nursing a drink and listening to the music she requested from the music station. She isn't actually wearing a funny hat...yet?]

[Her smile softens at his call. Okay, maybe it had been a little pointy and she would have understood if he was busy or missed it or it just wasn't a good day for exes, but she's glad he hit her up. The staying friends or working on being friends part really was important to her. Not just something to say at the end.]

Hard to keep up sometimes. Some days I feel like I just got here. Well, some days I literally feel that way because of shenanigans. [Since that's how it felt just a couple of days ago.] Did you get hit in the last round?

	Mm, less than first-arrival me. More than current me. She was trying to seem chill and on top of it. She was still a mutant. Still used to weird. But the X-Men weren't X-Men. No giant war. 	You know, I might only think this by comparison, but it felt like one of the easier ones to recover from. [Even if she did almost get choked out.] Oh! And I had watched Star Wars and Star Trek. I mean, I don't remember them again, but I had definitely seen them all and was well versed. Sure. Maybe next time. [She means more the next time something comes up rather than next year, but whichever. She's not surprised or disappointed by him not wanting to go. She just figures it's important that he knows he's invited too. Time is good, but she doesn't want a lot of awkwardness and distance to grow up in between them. She still needs connection where he needs space, but hopefully the balance will work out better this as friends.]
