[ This voice call was meant for Kitty Pryde, Sr., but Lelouch was not quite specific enough when he made it, so both Kitties get to enjoy this brusque interjection into their regularly-scheduled routine. ]

Miss Pryde, I presume? [ And then, immediately, ] I'd like to report an incident.

[ Specifically, he'd like to report Suzaku's terrible life choices. Is there a form to fill out for that? ]

	Hi, Lelouch. [She saw his return and if it hadn't be the day after the shared dreams she would have spoken up. Kitty, then. [ Yes fine good. ] You must know Suzaku. [ Pause. The question is, how well does she know him. How long did it usually take the people he worked with in life-saving capacities to notice his self-destructive tendencies. ] --He's apparently volunteered himself to meet up with an extremely questionable new arrival, in person, alone.

[ Then, bluntly: ] I'm hoping you frown on that sort of behavior, and have some sort of contingency system in place.

[ Can you hear all of Lelouch's concern? He's done a pretty good job of disguising it as frustration and disgust. ]

[She listens to the complaint until he is finished.] I assume you're coming to me about this because of the Defense Force. We don't push arranged meetings like you describe, and I'm not in the business of regulating people's personal lives.

If something happens, we'd respond to it, but preventing him from meeting someone, questionable or otherwise, would be overreach.

I-- He seems to feel he has a duty to meet this person, "Sai". To find out whether or not he's dangerous by offering himself up as a target.

[ But even to his own ears, that still sounds like he's asking Kitty to put Suzaku in time-out or something, so he continues hurriedly: ]

He says asking for assistance from the rest of the Force would -- somehow be a display of mistrust. ...But I, for one, thought it might be beneficial for you to be warned. So that... in the event that it goes badly -- you could be ready.

[ There's a hesitating beat, but... this reaction is better. ]

I'm hard-pressed not to say everything, but... it was what he said, and how he said it. [ "I like fighting ♥" ] When he expressed interest in fighting someone here -- especially someone with 'powers'... I asked him if he fought in a league or something similar where he came from. He told me that having to follow rules would... spoil his fun.

[ Lelouch goes over the conversation again in his head, scanning it for... something more concrete. Then allows, ]

I'm not saying anyone should go -- arrest him, or however it is you handle such matters. I know the suspicions and discomfort of a stranger are not enough to merit that kind of intervention. [ Even though, being him, they're very reliable suspicions and discomfort! ] But even Suzaku agreed it might be dangerous. [ And bullheadedly insisted on not taking basic safety precautions anyway!! ]

[She thinks of Sougo at first. Someone she was never comfortable with, but also not someone who ever actually caused problems except with his mouth. Maybe the bragging is a good sign? someone more serious might just act instead of talk, but there's nothing stopping someone from doing both.]

I assume you already tried to talk him out of it as a friend with less than favorable results? [She never knew the extent of their relationship previously, but "friend" felt like a pretty safe assumption along with whatever else it might have been.]

[ And then Suzaku said all of the unhelpful, worrisome things he's related, like, "Going into dangerous situations unprepared is somehow my duty," and, "Even so much as alerting the Force that I might need help would be a display of mistrust." ] If there's nothing you can do, I'll understand. [ Smoothing his tone out, solicitous, trying to cover for at least some of the vulnerability he's already put on naked display. ]

I don't want anyone here—Defense Force member or not getting hurt especially needlessly. I do think he can take care of himself for the most part, but it's hard to know someone else's abilities here. The force is always ready to back someone up. He just has to ask for the help when he needs it, so I'll talk to him about that.

He does seem...different from the way he was when he came through the first time. [Less social certainly.]

Does he? [ Different in what way. He can only think of... the way he's been alternately despairing and angry about, which. can't be the way she means. ]

...His last memory from -- our world was. Not pleasant.

[ It's easy to assume that Kitty's previous Suzaku was brought here before he used FLEIJA on the Tokyo Settlement, though -- after a few seconds, he realizes with some discomfort that he's not sure when Suzaku could have been removed from his timeline that he would have seemed... "more social in general". ] [ Kitty thought they were friends? Was... maybe told that, by one of them? ]
