[Although he's very newly arrived, Sai is already out of that jumper and in a more comfortable outfit of an over-sized hoody and jeans. He appears fairly calm, too. Maybe even pleased, as he greets anyone watching with a partially sleeve-covered wave of his hand and a grin.]

Hi~ This really is some place, huh? It's hard to believe it's some kind of prison!

[He lets out a laugh. His list of crimes was very extensive, and he has no reason or desire to deny or atone for any of them.]

I can't say I expected to ever open my eyes again- [actually, he was at peace and accepting that he was about to die.] but I don't mind entertaining myself here for a while.

—Ah! Speaking of. I wouldn't mind some suggestions of what there is to do, here. Hmm. . .I especially like [violence and fighting and murder!] eating and generally anything that's really active and hands-on.

I'm Sai, by the way. Pleased to meet you all~ ♥

... I was thinking more along the lines of stupid. I'm afraid I can be that, sometimes, especially in the grander scheme of things. [ Headtilt. And then, honestly, ] Does that make you unhappy? That you don't have a life to return to?

[ He would offer condolences, but that would be very hypocritical. Considering that it's a state he wishes for.

Also, he doesn't have to silence the question, Suzaku can explain his own reasons. Whether or not they'd be good enough for Sai, well. Different matter altogether. ]

A few weeks. [ He frowns, thinking back. ] Six weeks, actually. Would you think that long?

Mm. Not really!

[Honestly it isn't something he even thinks twice about. He finally learned of who and what he truly was, and in the end it was satisfying.]

Like I'd said, this place seems real odd. Being stuck somewhere is super annoying, but I'll play along for now.

In between, I guess. I'm hearing others say months. What I'd really like to know are the reasons behind why this place was created to begin with.

[ Suzaku nods, then tilts his head to one side. ]

A friend recently marked a year here. I think he's been here - in this place and the one before it, I guess - the longest.

[ As to the reasons... Suzaku watches him out of the corner of his eye. ]

It is a prison. [ That part was in the introduction message, so no news, right? ] Where I come from, those have two primary goals, containment with punishment, and rehabilitation. Is that different in your world?

Nope, not different at all. What I mean is why to begin with? Just how were we selected? They've sure done their research, too. Do they really expect us to try and atone?

Then, another shrug. ]

It's not as though the Wardens have told us why, or how. Not to mention that even if they did, I'm not sure their word can be trusted. And about atonement...

[ Suzaku's eyes are fixed straight ahead. ]

Some things cannot be atoned. So I try to make the most of the chance to spend more time with somebody who no longer is, at home. Make it good and easy for others, as best as I can.

[He just (dramatically) sighs.]

I guess you have a point there. I bet they have far more up their sleeve, too, huh.

[While Suzaku is replying, Sai is closely watching him. With the way he puts things, of course he can't help but feel intrigued. The corners of his mouth curl up into what can only be taken as an amused grin.]

He~h. Sounds like you did something especially worth being locked away for. Am I right?

[While Sai, personally, couldn't care less about trying to atone. He certainly knows they should be.]

But doing nothing because the optimal goal is impossible... I've never found that acceptable. Relative to what? [ Quiet and curious. Quiet and curious is okay, right?

Then he shrugs, opening up the door to a building with a gym, and padded walls. Good for sparring, hopefully. ]

None of us know at any given moment. People show up, and sometimes people disappear, without much warning or logic. I don't think there have been more than a hundred or so people since I've been here.

	Between people. Even if atoning was possible for what they've done, that doesn't always mean they care to. [Sai you fail at being subtle. He glances around as they enter.] So just another unknown as a whole. [How stupid.] With the most important things obviously completely out of our control. Each of us has to decide for themselves. But... here, there is little that can help anyone back home, or anyone innocent. So no, I am not sure I understand, either.

Especially since, from all I know, anyone who returns home simply does not remember this place at all. Nor have they gone missing.

[ He meets Sai's eyes. ] We come from different worlds, alternate realities, most of us. Possibly even different planets. We have no idea how we were brought here, so we would not know how to return.

For those who want to return. Or... can.

[ He takes off the stiffer outer clothes, loosens up a little, then will be ready for Sai to come at him.

He thinks. ]

Mm. I guess I can see all of that. Kind of like how time is a funny thing, here, right? I wouldn't mind leaving altogether, despite not really having something to return to.

[He was moments away from dying and is fine with being up front about that.

With all that's been said and done, and at least being patient enough to wait for Suzaku, Sai rushes at him. The weighted cuff around his ankle is a bother, but he's able enough to still be fairly quick. The other isn't incredibly tall or built, but Sai is still on the small side anyway. Not to mention that presently he has none of his inhuman strength, and can only move so fast. He aims his punch right towards Suzaku's face anyway.]
