[Maybe it's something in the early morning sunlight, or something in the air, but Ianto is in a very good mood when he wakes up, the sort of mood that makes him smile slowly, pull Jack closer and nuzzle him awake, making soft, interested noises as he does.]

It's not that often that Ianto initates anything to this degree, and it pulls Jack up out of the remnants of sleep with rapid interest, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"Good morning yourself!" he responds, not bothering to open his eyes yet, just enjoying the nuzzling as his hand slips upwards into Ianto's hair to encourage him to keep on doing what he's doing.

Oh, he's initiating things alright. How can he not? It's not as though he can say or do the wrong thing here. Not him. Let's face it, he is pretty great, right? Great at continuing to work his way up Jack's neck so he can get to his lips and kiss him properly. Usually he's not much of a morning person but today things are different. Today he doesn't even need to have his coffee before forming complete sentences like usual.

"You look cute like this, when you wake up." Hair messy, not perfect, still sleepy. He thinks that most morning but today is the day to say it.

Even still half-asleep, Jack manages to tilt his head at exactly the right moment to meet Ianto's lips and envelope them in a warm - perhaps even hot - kiss. He's smiling when Ianto finally pulls away.

"Cute, huh?" It's not exactly the look he tends to go for, but if Ianto likes it that's okay. He finally cracks open an eyelid, because there's something different about Ianto today and he wants to see if he can see what it is.

Everything is okay. More than okay actually. He feels on top of the world today; confident, cocky even. A little sexy, perhaps. After all the less than stellar days he's had lately it feels fantastic to wake up like this. Jack can probably see the difference in his expression this morning. It's not a bad change but it certainly is different.

"Cute." He repeats, like that settles the discussion. He follows it up with another kiss to make his point.

In Jack's opinion, Ianto's always sexy, but he's well aware that that's not necessarily how Ianto sees himself. Today, though... once he's blinked the sleep out of his eyes he can see the confident smirk on Ianto's face as he leans in for another kiss, and there's something different about that too - it's less diffident, more... sure of himself. He smiles into this kiss too, and lets it deepen, mouth opening to let Ianto in, tongue licking and tasting, and gasping as his morning wood brushes against Ianto's thigh.

That look always does wonders for his self-esteem anyway but today it just feels right. He knows how sexy his, how crazy they are about each other. Of course Jack looks at him that way. Why wouldn't he? He smiles into the kiss, letting Jack brush against him and enjoying the feeling. They don't always do morning sexy - again, coffee priorities - but today? Who knows.
