Morning, prisoners. Welcome to one more day of absolute boredom and suffering. [ quite the exaggeration there, but Damon's been in a pretty bad mood lately. he's annoyed, frustrated and everything ever. ~~(mostly looking at you, veridical!)~~ Elena, the only face from home he could somewhat tolerate, has once again disappeared into the abyss or stabilizer or whatever. he can't, for the life of him, understand why she keeps being played like a yo-yo. ]

For those of you who are new and for those of you who don't know me, I'm Damon. I run the Blood Shack at Sector 5. [ he's sitting in the back office right now, enjoying a full glass of whiskey. ] I'm looking for fresh blood. Not of the bag variety. Trust me, I have plenty of those in stock. I need bartenders and waitresses, and all kinds of multitasking types. If you're keen on racking up some points for good behavior, or are simply incredibly attractive, or you're looking for a way out of a purposeless existence, blah blah blah, let me know.

[ he points a finger to himself. ] Feel free to ask me any questions. Totally, one hundred percent-ly, open to it. [ he finishes his drink and pours himself another glass. (it looks like someone's not looking to get through the day sober.) ]

Also, ooh. Important to note. We pride ourselves in being discreet about what we serve and who we serve them to. So if your deep, dark secret at home is enjoying sucking on a brain or two, being a cannibal or an alcoholic, we've got you covered. No worries. [ he ends the feed with a wink. ]

Two days, huh? [That sounds about right. She looks him over through the feed and decides not to push it just yet, letting him change the conversation. After all, it didn't go that well when she decided to comfort Spike when he lost Rose. Maybe she doesn't have a career in consoling vampires who have lost their girlfriends or their...complicated whatevers.]

You know it. [Why deny these things? Who doesn't want a Defense Force leader who admits to spying and jokes about eating brains?] Last time we were in the double digits. Should be interesting to see how today turns out.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. [ this conversation's getting a little too heavy for his taste. ] Last I checked, I'm a monster. Not a teddy bear. I don't need friends. F-Y-I, a friend is someone who only needs you when they want something and then they're gone. [ or they die. (a horrible, fiery death.) ] What's the point?

Take it from me. You'd be much better off on your own. [ don't make him bring up the number of times she'd been down in the dumps because of someone she cared way too much about. ]

You...remind me too much of me sometimes. [Not her today maybe. She just went on a really good date with Reid last night. Things are looking up there and some of her friendships are more complicated than they used to be, but they're still there.

She's probably lucky Damon was busy with a returned Elena recently. With the right (wrong) timing they could have made some pretty epic mistakes together during her single, low points.]

We're nothing alike. You'd go out of your way to save a bunny from a burning building. I'd sacrifice the lives of a thousand men and women and children if it serves my most basic interest.

Well I don't think everyone would taste yummy. [ Did she just describe it as yummy too... she looks like she's at a loss, trying to explain this to someone. It's so bizzare for her to have to describe it to another vampire to begin with.] I mean- what if you were to drink the blood of serial killer? That wouldn't be appealing at all.

[Super gross. Usually children smell the best, but she'll refrain from saying that. Girls usually smell a little more tempting than men she's noticed, too. That said, nothing has made her want anything else than the two sources she's had in the past. In general, the more pure the blood, the better. But if feelings are involved, nothing can sate you more than the person you care about most.]

I mean you can taste it. I don't know how to describe it. The feelings embedded within the blood. Whether it's love, fear, hatred... those things are present, too. Even memories. It's why drinking blood is so personal....

Mm hm. Aside from your regular alcoholic and non-alcoholic type beverages, we serve a variety of blood options and just about anything else that's in demand. [ he so didn't name the bar though. he'd simply taken over running it when he first got here a little over two months ago. ]
