[Day 359] Poker Mingle/Closed
[Poker night at Kitty's place in sector 4! She has them set up at the kitchen table with cards and poker chips. There's a variety of snacks set up along the counters—pretzels, chips, dips, pizza rolls, meatballs with toothpicks, etc. There's also some pie because Chuck is here! Ice cream in the freezer since Kitty lives here. You'll also find water, sodas, wine, and beer. Stay hydrated!

There's also a living room with comfortable seating for taking breaks or relaxing after the game. If you're going to snoop you might find a Nathan hiding out in his room or peek through a partially opened door to see Kitty's room. It's very utilitarian—no decorations, generally clean though there are stacks of books, tech, and clothes here and there. For anyone who visited other apartments she's had they were a little warmer and included more personal touches. Nothing too exciting to find in the bathroom, you perv!]

	Honestly, I'm not sure... it could be a lot of things. In Nathan's case it was interpreted as a sign of some deeper disturbances but that's not to say that him drawing isn't an outlet rather than a fantasy. Gideon was so sure he was beyond saving but after spending time with him here, I'm not so sure. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I told him he could always come out to the party and talk to people if he wanted. That you would always be happy to see him. [Maybe that's not even the important part. She's not sure where to start here so she's just explaining it all.]

He wasn't so sure. He said it bothers you when he's not okay because you need to know people like him can be fixed. And he's worried about letting you down I think.

[She nods.] It makes me wonder what he thinks about me. [She's not asking Reid to spy it out of him. Just knowing that she has some issues of her own. It's not hard to see she's tired of losing people. She can't remember if she ever told Nathan about her students or not. She doesn't usually like to talk about them.]

Is there anything I should be doing or not doing with him? [Looking to Reid here. He's the profiler. She's always valued his opinions.]

Honestly? Keep doing what you're doing. He seems to like you and I think the best you can do is treat him like a person, not a patient. [ From what Reid remember of Nathan's mom, there was something clinical about their relationship. He still believes that physical contact might work as a form of therapy here and if nothing else, it does release a good dose of oxytocin. Everyone could benefit from more of that. ]

Do you think I should talk to him tonight?

	I can do that. [Easiest thing for her to do since she sees him as a person even if he is a person she worries about.] I don't know. [If they talk about this particular thing he'll know she told him and that might make things harder between them, but she did it so she can deal with the consequences too.] I mean, you probably would have anyway, right? I know. In about a month I'm going to have been here for a full year. There's only two people who have been here longer and not that many who shared the double digits with me. [Reid wasn't until long past that time too, but it still feels like he's been here forever.] I'm glad I talked to you too. [No regrets for that.]
