[Kitty is standing in a clothing store in Sector 4, trying not to freak out. She doesn't understand how it's possible, but she woke up decidedly pregnant ~~or at least her reflection did.~~ Not so much that it looks like she's giving birth any second, but more than enough to know it's not just that burrito from last night.

Shockingly, the prison clothing store does not carry maternity wear, but she needs something to...hide it. Until she can figure this out.

And eventually she'll have to leave the store, so there might be some attempts at stealth mode getting back to the apartment. Is it safe to airwalk through tree limbs while pregnant? Watch out for occasional falling leaves when she solidifies for a break.]

[She hears the lack of a verbal response pretty loudly there, but she tries not to think about it too much. It's just timing, right? She can't jump too far forward...or backward. He needs time. And no amount of waking up falsely thinking they might be starting a family has changed that. She just holds on.] Pavel made me that offer too. [The one where it's a world, and not a future.]

He's a nice guy for someone who looks like a budding serial killer. [Going on mostly just because she's not sure why she said anything in the first place. Maybe just to break the silence of what he wasn't saying.]

[ Ah yes. A potential shift in topic. That would be good right about now, seeing as he has no idea how he's feeling about all this. He wants her with him, but he can't guarantee anything but at the same time he definitely felt a sting of jealousy at her going somewhere else. ]

Right? It's... weird, isn't it. How much they look alike. [ They've talked about this before, but it still feels safer than anything else they could talk about. ]

	[She'd kind of like it if she knew he had a pang of jealousy. Not that she wants to make him jealous and there isn't anything to be jealous about, but it's nice there's that wanting in him for her.] So weird. I think the accent helps. It's... it's not even that. [ He sighs. Guess they're talking about this. ] At home, we have a chance to deal. To... to move on, to adjust. Cope. They don't do that here.

I spent months not being able to talk to Emily after she came back from Europe. [ From death. ] Derek thought she was dead much longer than he would've back home. It's... cruel, not letting us finish.

	I'm sure it's different when they just pull you out before you die. Nothing left to finish. [There was a lot left to finish, but she wouldn't have been able to do it at home either.
