[Though she'd been confused and disoriented at first, her time there had quickly begun to come back to her. She wasn't pleased to find herself back in the underwater prison, not at all but she knew it wasn't something she could change.

Inara had decided to wait a while to make any sort of announcement that she was back. She'd headed back to the apartment she'd called her own, wanting to change into something other than the hideous orange jumpsuit she'd awoken in. But she'd found her apartment bare, cleaned out of the things she'd collected the last time she'd been there.

Sighing, she composed herself and then she was ready to announce she was back, even though she was still in her orange jumpsuit. She manages a wary smile and shrugs her shoulders a little.]

Hello... I was here once before, though I'm not certain how much time has passed between now and then [~~about two weeks~~], but I suppose in the grand scheme of things it doesn't truly matter. For those of you who weren't here when I was last or I hadn't had a chance to meet, I'm Inara Serra.

[She hesitates a moment and then glances around her apartment.]

Is it normal for things you had here before to disappear?

	[He ignores her first question.] I'm on my way. Just a few minutes... [And true to his word, a few minutes more and he's back at his apartment. [Not even five minutes into their conversation and she's already annoyed.

But she sighs and it's not long before she hears him clomping around in his apartment. She hesitates a moment and then she's heading out of her apartment and knocks once on his door.]

Mal?

[Yeah, and then she's pushing the door open and stepping inside. Her mouth immediately drops seeing her clothes strewn and crumbled around the floor.]

What did you do to my things?

Oh. [She tries to keep her expression schooled but she'd been hoping to hear another reason outside of him missing her because she was the only one from home.]

Well, thank you for saving it all. [She crouched down, picking a blouse up and draped it over her arm. She didn't look up, didn't want there to be an opportunity for her expression to give her away, and so she reached for what looked like one of her skirts.]

	[It's good she's not looking up at him. Mal happens to be working on keeping his own expression neutral. He watches her as she picks it up.] I can bring the rest over. [It seems as though things were getting a little awkward and so Inara nodded and looked down at the clothes she was holding to see if it matched at all. Luckily she had grabbed a dress along with a couple of blouses. She'd at least be able to wear the dress until she got all her other things from Mal.]

Of course, and you're sure you don't want me to just get my clothes now?
