Day 296 — VR MarinaNova — After the doors close
[Maybe you saw a glowing door open and avoided it or maybe you have no idea anything just happened, but you know something is up now because everything just went dark. Seriously dark. No ambient light of any kind. The kind of dark that makes you wonder if something's wrong with your eyes. Oh, and there's a siren going off from the speakers on the floating island. Don't worry, that will end in about thirty minutes, but you're not so lucky when it comes to the dark.

The kiosk was open earlier, but it's gone dead now and the maintenance bots are in the same condition. As a bonus some people are missing too! Welcome to Day 296.]

Or maybe just stock up on flashlights. I was never a fan of the torches and pitchforks... reminds me too much of Prague. [ She has the handle, he'll provide the cloth. Wrestling out of his t-shirt. ] I wish we had some kerosene or oil. This is going to go up in flames way too quick.

[ This is more like it. He hasn't really been feeling it lately, between the showdown with Jack and the whole soul business but right now it all feels more or less like it should. Here in the darkness he can lose himself in her and pretend that he's okay, that he's no less of a man or more of a monster for everything that has happened.

A low growl rumbles in her throat when his hands move over her body and she kisses him hard, pouring all of her feelings into it. She reaches around with a hand to undo his belt buckle, pulling it open before her fingers unbutton the top of his jeans. Trying to do it one-handed didn't prove to be easy but she manages. ]
