Strained, like he's been screaming himself raw or perhaps the measured and stilted words are a product of him trying to keep himself from doing just that. ]

As far as I know she's got no experience with magic, but she's seen a lot of strange. She deals with aliens on the regular. I mean I know you're preferred method of dealing with it is telling me I don't understand what I've done and that's fun but it's happened about 23 hundred times already and things aren't better yet, so trying something else might be a place to go from here.
