Day 275 - Action/Open
[Around \ Open]
[Kitty will be at the athletic complex running laps and attacking dummies. She'll also be at the DF headquarters taking care of a few things and between other destinations. Approach with caution. She's not in the greatest of moods and the claws are on even if they aren't out yet. So help you if you throw a popper her way.]

[Sector 6 \ Open]
[This used to be her sector—leader of the patrol team that kept an eye on things. She disbanded that team and reorganized the day Reid left. It wasn't a fresh start so much as a priority shift. She does want to get a special team together to explore and analyze sector 6. She tells herself that's why she's heading in there now, but it's not the only reason. She hasn't seen Tyki since the dreams. Not that she knows what she wants to say to him or if she'd even run into him. Better if she doesn't really. Of course, either way she's likely to run into someone or something.]

[Home \ Closed to Reid & Nathan]
[Long day and she didn't come out of it unscathed. There's a couple of shallow slashes on her shoulder and a nasty bruise on her thigh. They're both currently hidden, but there's a blood stain on the jacket where it soaked through. The material is dark so it's not that easy to see.

Even so she stopped to get an assortment of Indian food and a cheesecake. They might not really go together but cheesecake sounded good and she's the one with the cuts.]

Boys? I'm home.

[She didn't mean crazy in as serious a way as of course he would take it, but it has been hard.] Just... I still miss you. [Her voice breaks up a little as she says it.] I want to be strong for you and support you, but...

[The pause is long enough it might feel like she isn't finishing it.] I need you. [It isn't all that, but if that was okay then maybe all the moral ambiguity surrounding Spike would feel clearer to her.]

[ What did she just do to his heart? It feels like she reached into his chest and squeezed it really hard, making it difficult to breathe or swallow or do just about anything. He tries anyway, drawing a breath in an attempt to find his voice again. ]

[ You'd think he'd pull away, right? Or that he'd brush lips and then turn his head, come up with some excuse, explanation, apology. It's too soon, too much, hurts too badly but he can't do a thing for Maeve and Kitty is right here. She's still right here. He said his goodbyes and although the grieving period is far from over, he made his choice.

So instead of pulling away, he pushes in. There's something safe and familiar to be found here, finally. ]

[She steps back, not to get away, but to keep her balance. She's still very much attached and kissing. Just a tiny bit closer to the bed as it happens. If a little pushing surprised her a then this is the Spanish Inquistion. Nobody expects it! But in this case it's also not bad. And she has to agree about dams. She's been holding back for so long. Can't expect her to do that now if he's pushing. She only has so many dams to give!]

[ 18 days. 18 days is a really long time when you're usually having sex practically every day in some shape or form and for him it's been even longer. Practically a year and a half or a lifetime or longer. It's hard to tell with the way time is messed up here and with so little blood in his brain, math is hard.

He resumes the kiss without protest, hand moving down to creep up under her shirt. ]

[So glad her stomach isn't bruised because it feels really, really good to have his hand there. To have it anywhere that isn't appropriate in polite company. To have him want her this way and show it.

Not quite three weeks without him physically but it feels like longer. ~~It feels like at least 18 weeks!~~ It felt like forever. Like it might keep stretching out that way and now he's kissing her without recoiling and touching like he wants more and it's driving her onward. She quickly shoves any and all concerns that maybe this isn't the best timing aside. It's perfect because it's them.

Don't be a dream. Don't be a dream.

Kissing him harder and unbuttoning his shirt.]

[ Waiting for the right moment could mean missing it and not realizing before it's way too late. He's not sure he can handle that again and after the dreams the other night, so many things have fallen into perspective. He could lose her. He could lose her any day but so far he hasn't and he needs to take advantage of this.

He shifts a little to give her more access while tugging at the hem of her shirt. Off, please. ]
