[ Sooner or later, you run out of patience. You grow bored, antsy, you find yourself pacing like a wild animal in a cage, yearning desperately for something to happen just to break the monotony and sure, spending a day with lungs full of air and a heart full of beating was fun but not enough to even begin to ease that itch. The demon in your chest is clawing against ribs, screaming for blood, for fire and death and chaos. For the good old days. For something — anything — that makes you feel alive despite being a walking corpse.

He's got his body back. The chip has been out for ages and he finally retrieved his signature coat, Nikki Wood's coat, the very thing that reminds him of past glory, of the road taken to get this far. William the Bloody, Spike, the Slayer of Slayers. One step away from becoming a living (well) legend and now he's stuck here, chained like a dog in the backyard with the threat of a besoulment hanging over him like a guillotine. He's not going to take that lying down. He's not just going to wait, not when there's blood to spill.

It's late when he hits the streets of MarinaNova Asylum, dark shadows lending a perfect cover as he stalks through the sectors. Hunting. He will not go through this quietly. ]

((ooc: open to actions of many varieties, tho I'm definitely looking for victims. Successful and unsuccessful attacks all welcome. 	[ Balance is certainly not something that's in abundance around here but at least Spike has the awareness to keep a good enough hold on the other man, letting both of them fall rather than attempting to keep himself upright. 	[He'll settle for taking his attacker down with him. On the ground he pulls back and kicks out again, not panicked but with the practiced viciousness of someone who has no fear of hurting others. [ This really is something else. Although it doesn't pack the punch or speed of a superhuman Slayer, the calm tenacity is extremely familiar. Whether his opponent is actually good enough to wriggle free on his own or if Spike is holding back a bit for the thrill of a good brawl is anyones guess, but that punch lands solidly, snapping his head to the side. ]

That hurt. [ A grin full of teeth and then he pulls back his fist to aim a punch of his own. ] My turn.

The thrill of a fistfight doesn't appeal to him quite as much, but he's never one to back down. [See that, that just won't do. In some ways it's a good sign that Spike is pissed off-- it means he's holding his own-- but the angrier the other man gets, the more recklessly violent he'll be, and there's only so much Brian can take.

He doesn't fight the grasp, trying instead to pull himself up and use it against the vampire, clinging hard enough that there's not enough distance to build up much force. It hurts, though, and that's writ across his face. At least he mostly manages to keep his head from taking the worst of the impact.

Breathing hard he struggles for purchase, trying to roll them so he's on top, or at least get a better angle to try and claw the vampire's goddamn eyes out.]

[Another grunt as that kick connects, and he shifts focus, pulling back and trying to scrabble out of reach. Not to flee-- prey runs and predators chase, he's not giving up what little power he has that easily-- but to get some distance and regroup. Right now, he's kicking himself for walking around unarmed. Even a little pocketknife would be handy, right about now.]
