Day 268 [Open — voice & action] [Closed video & voice]
[It was the heaviness Kitty noticed first before her eyes were even open. At least waking up in Ton Phanan's body is a pretty good distraction against the pain she normally feels when she wakes up to find Reid went out to sleep on the couch again or even that thread of panic she tries to deny where she fears maybe he disappeared again instead. But this morning is all about figuring out what's going on and damage control. She starts by listening to the vague daypost.]

Stop touching my boobs. [The voice sounds and feels very wrong to her. She even clears her throat, but it doesn't change anything.]

Hey. We have a situation. [She keeps her voice low since he's likely in the next room. She really wishes these things would text suddenly.]

You've probably already noticed something strange going on. I want to get a head count here. Who is affected? Who isn't? Anyone in danger with this? Let me know and we can get the force working on it.

[It takes awhile before she's ready to test the new body out elsewhere but she isn't going to stay cooped up all day either. There's bound to be some chaos and she needs to do what she can...without her powers. And why are his wrists too large for her claws?]

	I...didn't. Exactly. I was hurt and angry about my death and the deaths he...contributed to [by not actually going back to save their students and not letting her go back either.] And feeling very alone. [She sighs a little.] It wasn't all bad. Some of it was really good. [Some of it still is.]

Do you know the story of the turtle who gives the scorpion the ride across the water? The turtle asks how he knows the scorpion won't sting him and the scorpion answers back that if he did that they'd both drown. So the turtle agrees and half way across the water the scorpion stings the turtle. The turtle asks why he'd do that since now they'll both drown and the scorpion says, because it's in my nature.

Tyki is a lot like that scorpion. Sometimes he just has to do the wrong thing even when it's bad for him too.

	Yeah. That's how it ended. [The second time it ended, but the first was also because he tried to hurt someone and the second one is the one that really ended it anyway.] I mean, I always knew what he was. [ Undecided is a good word for it. She loves Ned. She really absolutely does but Ton is pretty great and he's here and he can touch her. The touching thing is big. That's a problem she'll never escape with Ned and a month without him around has given her some perspective. It was a little easier when they could continuously work on their relationship and the lack of touching was at least partially made up for in the form of compromises and clever contraptions.

How long can she really be satisfied with that? ]
