This fluff thing is going from ridiculous to problematic and veering toward dangerous. They're in virtually every area of the prison now, even inside most buildings. Food supplies are starting to run low and the information we have indicates that they'll just keep reproducing at this rate left unchecked.

There's been a suggestion to eliminate them. Let's call that plan G. Now we just need plans A - F.

Knowing this place I expect the wardens to have it wrapped up by morning, but I don't want to leave it all in their caring hands. We need people on patrol making sure no one is actually buried under them and we need people collecting and protecting remaining food stocks not just for the team but so we can be prepared to distribute it to everyone if it comes to that. I think pushing them into sector 6 could be an option for us. [Of course they will likely get killed in there, but it is less direct.] But I want to hear more options. Get creative. Get chatty.

We need to do what we need to do, but don't forget these are designated as pets and harming them comes with a price tag since that's one of the rules around here.

One more thing. When we have the man power to dedicate to it I want the investigative team checking into souls and restoring them. [Yes, she really just said that.]

	It does. [ still weird, but a little helpful. ] I've simply never heard of something like that being serious. 	It's not exactly something that comes up a lot where I'm from either. It might even be a trick considering my source, but if what I heard is true then restoring a soul might solve some of our inmate problems. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

At the Sanctuary, we had something similar happen with another species. The Nubbins, as someone else dubbed them, were a bit more dangerous than these seem to be, capable of thinking as a hivemind, sacrificing individuals for the good of the many, and could eat through anything or anyone. [ yeah. think about that for a minute. ]

We ended up mimicking their distress call so we could corral them in an area with a lower temperature, thus subduing them and slowing both their metabolism and reproductive cycles. I've no idea what the natural habitat for these creatures is, but we might be able to try something similar.

	Nubbins... That might actually be more ridiculous sounding than tribble. Can you do some tests on them in the clinic maybe? See if you can slow or prevent the reproduction with the low temps or anything else you might find. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Their proper classification is Nubina atelerix. You can see where she got the name.

I might be able to run a low-level test with what we have available. It won't be as advanced as what I would do in the Sanctuary, but I might be able to come up with a solution. I'll let you know what I find.
