Day 252 [video | open][action | baseball mingle]
[The video starts with Yuuri playing on a recorder. He's no Mozart (who is widely known for his recorder-playing skills) but he's not painful to listen to at least. After just a moment, he stops and smiles out at the people. (That's you.)]

Hi! I just wanted to get your attention and there's music stuff everywhere, so that was easy. Anyway, I thought instead of just having practice today we could have a game. I know we've lost some players and it's short notice, but I thought it might be fun. [And they could all use some fun and something to take their minds off attacks so...BASEBALL!] So, come play if you want to play even if you haven't been on a team before and come watch if you want to watch. I'll bring some snacks. You should probably bring some snacks too since I don't know what everyone likes. About two hours? See you there!

[In two hours the baseball field will be ready for a game. There's a table for snacks. Nothing too elaborate—punch, water, pretzels, cracker jacks of course. Sadly, no hot dogs unless you brought your own. People are welcome to join a team for the day or sign up to stay on one! They'll also find lots of musical instruments because it's just one of those days. Nothing like a stand full of people with cymbals?]

(OOC: We aren't really going to play out a full baseball game, but feel free to respond to Yuuri's video broadcast here or tag yourself in to a mingle which can be before, after, or during the game. RNG says The Flying Knights will win this time!)

	I guess this means I'll have to get a home run so we can continue this. [She smirks and takes the bat, letting it swing loosely as she walks up to the mound. She lets the first pitch go by without swinging. She readies herself for the second and sends it flying. She doesn't live up to the home run promise though. Third base. [ Not bad. Haruka's impressed - both by the hit and by Kitty's judgment; she's seen plenty of people swing for things they have no chance of hitting.

But now it's her turn. Haruka ambles up to the plate. Given the way this pitcher's been throwing, she's guessing the ball should come -

By the time the crack of ball hitting bat has faded, Haruka's already almost at first with her eyes on second. Take it home, Kitty. ]

[ Haruka is right behind you, Kitty. She didn't spend her whole childhood hopping from one sport to another for nothing - she excelled at each of them. (This actually bothered her. The jerk.)

Getting back to home plate looks a bit dicey, but Haruka puts on a burst of speed and manages. She's still jogging more than walking by the time she ambles back up to Kitty, with the shadow of a boyish smile on her face. Running is fun. ]
