[The video flickers on. Rogue is standing in what appears to be sector 0. There's a doorway in the barrier opening up and through it a small, metallic room can be seen. The video starts to shake a little as a robot, heavily damaged from something, emerges. There are deep gashes in the metal casing, but it's still chugging along slowly. Rogue peels off one of her gloves, uncertain if she's going to have to defend herself, or if her power would even work on a bot, but it's what she's got and this thing appears to have been in some sort of battle. She's not taking her chances. She backs away as the robot passes her without any acknowledgement.]

What the blue hell...

Private | Locked to Defense Force Members.

[She fiddles with the video some and locks it up to the Defense Force members. She's not on the Force, but it seems like the sort of thing they'd want to know about. She's following the bot, staying at a distance, but not letting it out of her sight. She's also getting the whole thing on video. When she speaks, it's a whisper. She doesn't want to draw any more attention to herself than necessary.]

I ain't sure what's goin' on but this thing just came outta a door in the barrier and it ain't doin' so well.

[ her hand connects with his cheek, and it's unlike anything castiel's ever felt before.

which includes being unmade by archangels, mind you.

in just that short span of time, it's as if he feels his age. tied to jimmy's body hasn't been much of an issue (he'd refrain from leaving it in the prison anyway) except now it seemed that any damage to his grace reflected back on the resources the body had. (the bonus here being that there really was no damage inflicted on his grace so much as a...mild sapping of it.) ]

What-- how--? [ it's only after rogue has ceased contact that castiel is able to speak again, but he does so slowly. his knees feel wobbly, but he can still stand. ] I'm all right. [ he'll get to the part where she just SUCKED OUT HIS GRACE in a moment. for now, he continues walking forward with her. walking feels good. ]

'Member I told you I was...evolved? It's...my power. I drain powers and life force outta people when I touch 'em. I don't even mean to. It's just...somethin' that happens when I touch bare skin. That's why I wear gloves all the time.

[Speaking of which, she's going to pull her glove on. She still feels charged, wired and powerful. It'll last about an hour or so.] You sure you're feelin' all right?

For better or worse, this is parta me. I shouldn't have to cut out a part of me to be able to touch people.

[In some ways, she has. She's learned that she's not the only person with an ability and that it's part of her, nothing something to be removed because it's difficult. She wouldn't remove her heart if it became irregular. Instead, she'd find a way to control it. That's what she's hoping for eventually: an off switch that she can turn back on when necessary. She's also learned that the world is dangerous out there for mutants and humans alike. She needs to be able to defend herself.]

Oh. That's gotta be sorta relief. You only get to hear people's thoughts if you touch 'em.
