Get indoors and stay indoors. Keep doors and windows secure. Call the Defense Force dispatch center if you're in danger. We wear these communicators on our heads, so it's a quick call. We can't help if we don't know there's a problem. Call even if you're just without a light source or food. We'll get someone to you so you don't leave a safe location.

Our teams are working on the raptors, but if you do run into them remember that they are fast, strong, smarter than they look, and they hunt in packs. Best idea is to not run into them.

We need to figure out if it's just the raptors that are loose or if other inmates from Sector 6 our out here with us. Report anything out of the ordinary—ordinary being power fluctuations and raptor attacks at the moment.

Keep yourselves and each other safe.

[Kitty is out hunting. It's not her first time fighting the raptors. They used to be a constant presence in the dome and even now as the leader of the Sector 6 team she comes up against them fairly regularly. She just evades them easily enough these days. She patrols that sector to learn more about it, not to start fights with what lives inside. But today, they are on her turf. They're in her home attacking her friends, so she's not holding back.

There's something seductively liberating about that. For all her growth and development since she came her on Day 24, she's still Kitty Pryde. The girl who was trained by Weapon X. The girl who was Magneto's shadow assassin. The girl who fought to survive and protect. She didn't relish the kill, but there is a thrill to the fight she can't deny even though she might want to. You just might find her making a mess out of some raptors when you come across her. Those claws she wears on her wrists aren't just for decoration.]

Oh. Th-That's good. [She sighs.] Um, well, not good that people have to be out, b-but good that it's only those who should be--I mean, are out for the right reasons. [She needs to stop rambling, but the heightened level of anxiety makes it worse.]

Anyway, I'm fine! I have light, and those um...snack bars. Granola? [Those wonderful food things that you can fill a bag with a last for days.] Yes, those.

	Good. [But don't think she's missing all that anxiousness she's hearing in her voice.] Update me if that changes. Maybe gather up some blankets and coats in case one of these power flickers is our last. [It's bad if the heat stays off too long. I have a nice um, store of items for emergencies in my apartment, if it comes to that, but I certainly hope it doesn't. [And entire closet full of blankets, coats, flashlights, canned goods, other non-perishables, and more. ~~If only she thought of weapons.~~

And while she's talking, walking, and searching, she's also feeling more and more anxious. As if something is right there, putting this terrible weight on her. Something is wrong.]

A-Are you sure it's only the raptors? I keep feeling like something is out there, watching. It's...something is very wrong.

[Miranda isn't sure she can explain everything she feels right now. It's that same, heavy, judging stare she dealt with in her childhood. That same sense that someone is finding her wanting and useless, seconds from pointing out every flaw and mistake she's ever made. It's terrifying in a way that the thought of being eaten by a raptor isn't.]

I'm in Sector 2. I-It's been quiet here for the last hour or so. The raptors have moved on, or can't find their way around here either.

That's good. It means headquarters is more secure.

Have you seen the thing that's watching at all? There are a lot of different kinds of inmates in sector 6. If this is a full breakout it could be a lot of things. [Though strangely it didn't seem like a full breakout. Someone would have reported those hyenawasps or something else by now if it was, right? But why would just the raptors be out? Something isn't adding up.]

	It's rather dark, so I can't say if I'm just missing things b-but I haven't seen anything. Besides the raptors I mean. [Which is why she doesn't really understand why she feels so afraid of eyes being on her.] This doesn't seem like any of the inmates I've h-heard of before. [She isn't exactly pleased to think about what has been done in there without anyone's notice, either. It's not right to go and attack them just because they can.]

If only there was a way for us to communicate with them better. Th-They're inmates and so are we, but i-it's like two different worlds existing in one place. Maybe if we could speak with them, there wouldn't be incidents like th--[There's a noise. She cuts herself off and freezes, listening in to the dark. What is out there? Is it those eyes watching her?]

	The wardens said we wouldn't be able to communicate with them, but maybe they just want us to think that. [It would be helpful, especially for her team, if there was some way. Of course then do they turn into diplomats? She's not sure she's cut out for that, but her pondering is cut short when Miranda's words are.] Miranda? What's happening? [She says nothing for a moment, listening, trying to figure out what it is and where it's coming from. Then there's the noise again and she's flashing her light in the direction she thought she heard it. She is terrified, but at least not frozen still. Inching along and looking about. The sound doesn't come again.]

N-Nothing that I can see. I think I may have been--[And then something crashes into her legs and she's falling onto her back with a surprised scream.]

Where are you? [Sector 2 is a big place, but Kitty isn't working Sector 6 today. Not with all this going on. She's in Sector 3 now and already heading for the border. She can contact dispatch to see if that team can make it there faster if she knows exactly where she needs to be. It's days like this she really misses the system Sentience let them use with the life signs and tracking systems.] Is it a raptor?

[Miranda's cry dies and she is throwing up her hands to knock away whatever struck her. Her heavy, surprised breathing should be quite audible, but there is also the sound of a loud vuul cutting through the air.]

Lee! [That is definitely a relieved cry.] Oh my goodness, I have been looking everywhere for you!

[And then she recalls who she is on the line with.]--Kitty? Kitty, I'm so sorry! I-It's just Lee. My vulpix. He ran off earlier and I couldn't find him. I thought maybe he'd run to go back home.

It's the most at ease she's felt since she lost him, even if he did give her scare a few grey hairs onto her head.] And...thank you. I'll do my best.
