[Have one Jack Harkness, looking rather grim and very unlike the lighthearted flirt most of you will have come to know him as. This is the former leader of Torchwood, the people's protector.]

Something's happened to Spike. I think he may pose a danger to the people here. He attacked me a while back but I didn't think anything of it until a couple of days ago when he told me he killed someone else, too – someone who may or may not have got up again like I did.

[A beat] I think we need to be prepared to try and contain him, if necessary.

...Oh my God. I can't believe it -- I mean, I trust you of course, but like. I just saw him and we sat and chatted and everything was totally normal, I mean way normal and oh my God I had no idea...

[She takes a deep breath.] Most importantly, are you okay? And not just in a "I come back to life" sense?

[She'll have to sort out her feelings about her vampire buddy killing people or something like it once she gets her bearings. Why does it seem like everyone she hits it off with ends up being a bad guy?!]

	Doesn't that sound familiar. You heroic types need to let a gal fret over you sometimes! [She is relieved, but still not thrilled with this info.] So, like... what happened? Is that too intrusive? [He grimaces.] I’m trying to figure it out too. We’d had some fun before, a little banter, a bit of a knockabout, a few threats exchanged, but only in fun. Something’s changed, now. The night he killed me? It started out as banter – I’d hurt my hand and it was bleeding, so it was an obvious thing for him to go after, but this time he really wasn’t going to take no for an answer. I… assumed he only went all the way and killed me because he knew I’d come back, but then he told me he’d killed someone else too and they didn’t come back.

I mean, I'm not really okay with you getting killed no matter how many times you'll come back -- on the other hand, this place is weird sometimes, right? Maybe something effected his hunger or something?

Not that I'm like some vampire expert or anything, but from what I know that COULD happen...? [Wishful thinking, perhaps. No... definitely.]

I am absolutely fine with getting killed if it means that people who won’t get up again don’t get bitten. It’s just when that doesn’t work that it’s a problem.

[Like now. He gives her a vaguely hopeful look at her suggestion, though.]

You know, I guess that could be the case, yeah. This place is kind of crazy that way. [He shrugs.] I guess I’ll give it a few days, see what happens. If I don’t hear of any more attacks… perhaps I’m just worrying over nothing!
