The name's Kitty Pryde for those who don't know me. I'm the current leader of the Defense Force. It's a group that works on ensuring the public safety whether that's from each other or our robot overlords. [Not to mention putting an end to this whole prison thing. She figures it's no secret from the wardens, but it still feels a little too brazen to be that specific in the public announcement.]

We're accepting new members in combat, investigations, and dispatch. There's an interview process if you're interested. I'll make up answers if you make up questions.

Seems like we've lost some people recently. We may have more joining our ranks soon. Until then, Data, I want you to lead Sector 5. Hopefully, we'll have more for you to lead soon. My team will back you up until then.

I want to talk to members of Sector 0 and 4's teams to see who to appoint as leader or temporary leader. [Spoiler alert: she is not picking you, Sougo.]

	Mutant? I suppose its hard to avoid in a place like this. Still, I'd rather not be the cause of it if I can help it. I don't suppose you have any sort of consultant position? Someone who can provide assistance in a crisis but still maintain a bit of distance? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Mutants are an offshoot of humanity. Our DNA is different. We have extra abilities. Sometimes we look different. Not so much that last part in my case. Anything. [Its said in a perfectly straightforward manner, no boasting or pride in his tone. There's no need for it.] I may not be suited to combat, but I can destroy an enemy before your forces could reach him. I can shield, heal, or obliterate whoever you would like on any scale, provided I agree with your decision. I can weave tangled webs to predict the future or create illusions, and under the right conditions I can hold conversations with any dead you may wish to question. They may have limited my power here, but I'm clever enough to know how to ration it appropriately, and I don't foresee it being a problem. [A faint smile.] So you see, perhaps its not unwise to be a bit wary of me.

[Definitely not unwise. It's a lot of power even for a mutant. Her mind is reeling with the possibilities of what he's saying if it is true. Speak to any dead? That right there makes her think of people she's lost. But this isn't asking for favors time. She's not even sure seeing them again would feel like a favor.]

That's a lot of power. People fear power they don't have. [And fear leads to hate and hate leads to strife and genocide and everything she left behind in her world.]

And, yeah, we were the minority...but that was shifting. [Not because there were more mutants but because humans were being wiped out in droves.]

And they're quite right to do so. Power tends to come with a capacity to become a monster, in my experience. And a fearsome reputation makes it easier for me to protect those around me. I might not like being feared, but I have no complaints about it either.

That must be a very difficult situation. You have my sympathies, my dear. It sounds like a harsh world to live in.

When she was younger and her parents were still alive things didn't seem so harsh. It barely feels like the same life.] But I have known powerful monsters. I'm sorry to hear of it nonetheless. Do you mind if I ask just what being a mutant entails, at least in your case? I don't mean to pry, of course.

[If she were to ask, he tends to think of himself as a good man who has done a great many monstrous things. He sets rules for himself to prevent them from happening and he usually follows them. Usually being the key word.] Power always comes with the temptation to become such a thing, at least in my experience.
