[ when liz turns on the feed, she is as calm as she can possibly be. with everything else that's been happening lately, she honestly didn't expect to be thrown into prison, especially when that prison was one she was unfamiliar with and buried deep under an ocean. she's not entirely sure how she feels about that.

either way, her expression is one of determination and she's ignoring the prison garb. that can come later. ]

My name is Sheriff Liz Forbes. [ because she definitely doesn't go by her full name and these people need to know that an actual law enforcement officer is present among them, not whatever these wardens claim to enforce. ] I've spent enough time listening and watching to know the basics. What I'd like now are more details. If anyone has information they'd like to offer... I would appreciate it. I can't offer much in return, but I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement.

[ with firmly pursed lips, she turns the feed off and waits to see if anyone will bite. ]

I could give you the basic rundown, at least. There's a lot you should know, so it might be best to take it in smaller pieces.

The Defense Force is dedicated to not only keep the inhabitants of the facility safe from each other and outside threats, but also to uncover, compile and process any information we can find about the facility itself, our captors and the means with which we were brought here. One of our goals is to find a way to send anyone who wants to leave back to where they came from, safely.

We're divided into Patrol, Investigative and Dispatch, with quite a few members dividing their time between two divisions. It's currently headed by Kitty Pryde — the older one. I'm temporarily in charge of the Investigative Team until we can find a more suitable leader.

Smaller pieces would be appreciated. I've had a lot thrown at me today. [ being a newbie here has kind of sucked. she's still wrapping her head around it. in the meantime, she listens attentively. that is more like what she wants out of this. ]

Sounds like an organization I'd like to be a part of. Would you suggest I talk to Ms. Pryde to join or is someone else in charge of that?

[ they mentioned that it's an organization and there's someone in charge, so she's assuming there's some process she has to jump through. she'd be surprised otherwise. ]

I'd like to see what I can do to help.

	Yeah, she'd be the one to talk to... unless you'd like me to set up an interview? I'm part of the interviewing team... it's nothing complicated, just a simple psych eval and a skills test if you're interested on being on a patrol team. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
