[ when liz turns on the feed, she is as calm as she can possibly be. with everything else that's been happening lately, she honestly didn't expect to be thrown into prison, especially when that prison was one she was unfamiliar with and buried deep under an ocean. she's not entirely sure how she feels about that.

either way, her expression is one of determination and she's ignoring the prison garb. that can come later. ]

My name is Sheriff Liz Forbes. [ because she definitely doesn't go by her full name and these people need to know that an actual law enforcement officer is present among them, not whatever these wardens claim to enforce. ] I've spent enough time listening and watching to know the basics. What I'd like now are more details. If anyone has information they'd like to offer... I would appreciate it. I can't offer much in return, but I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement.

[ with firmly pursed lips, she turns the feed off and waits to see if anyone will bite. ]

[ it's a bit of both. at least liz can be sure caroline's okay with her own eyes, but idea that she's here in some unknown prison isn't exactly a wonderful idea. ]

I'm glad she's got a few friends here, too. [ bonnie's here and that reassures liz like none other. ]

I'm starting to see that. It's not like any prison I've ever seen or heard of. I guess that's good in the long run.

[ bonnie being here comforts elena, for a number of reasons. it's both the same and similar with caroline. having sheriff forbes here is reassuring to elena. (someone they know, someone who's taken care of them, looked after them - and more recently, someone who has been family and friend and ally.

caroline's mom, who elena knows caroline misses desperately.

elena misses her mom too.)

but it also means another person they know and love who shouldn't be here.

elena doesn't want to mention 'the long run' isn't an option they'd want to choose. ] It's better than the last one. [ pause. that might need an explanation. ] We were stuck in this other prison for a few days; it was a lot more like a prison. [ wow she realizes that's still a lot to load on. ]

I know this is a lot. It's still pretty hard to wrap our heads around. Are you okay? Has Caroline found you?
