[ when liz turns on the feed, she is as calm as she can possibly be. with everything else that's been happening lately, she honestly didn't expect to be thrown into prison, especially when that prison was one she was unfamiliar with and buried deep under an ocean. she's not entirely sure how she feels about that.

My name is Sheriff Liz Forbes. [ because she definitely doesn't go by her full name and these people need to know that an actual law enforcement officer is present among them, not whatever these wardens claim to enforce. ] I've spent enough time listening and watching to know the basics. What I'd like now are more details. If anyone has information they'd like to offer... I would appreciate it. I can't offer much in return, but I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement.

Tyler's here, too? [ seriously, it's like a town reunion. ] I guess I'll have my hands full. [ "making sure no one gets hurt" goes unsaid. she likes damon to a point, but there's a part of her that will always be wary of what he is. same goes for stefan. as for caroline? jury's still out. that one's her daughter and liz will fight tooth and nail for her. ]

[ she owes him that much at least, protection. she remembers his sister and even though she never liked his mother, matt's a good kid. he never deserved any of what happened to him. ]
