Day 226 l Christmas Party Mingle
[Ianto has, predictably, gone a bit overboard for the Christmas party he and Jack are throwing. The entire apartment has been decorated; there's a tree with gold and silver ornaments and twinkling lights, garlands draped over doorways, candles in every window and festive nicknacks scattered about. It looks like something out of a magazine, and may make visitors a little afraid to actually touch anything. There's also a lot of mistletoe around (one of the side effects of living with Captain Jack Harkness) so it's probably a good idea to keep one eye on the ceiling at all times.

Of course he's made plenty of coffee and some appetizers, so he hopes people really do respond to the invitation Jack sent out, otherwise there are going to be a hell of a lot of leftovers.]

	[Rose is here, keen to get into the festive mood and enjoy herself, even if she didn't feel entirely up to it at the moment. She's picking at the food that's on offer but it's alcohol that will help to curb the cravings. Before she left her apartment she had a bag of blood to sate her appetite. 	Yeah, sure. It's a nice little party. I don't think I remember the last time I was at a real Christmas thing. If this counts as a real Christmas anyway. 	I can't remember the last time I celebrated Christmas either. I think it counts a bit because of the decorations, the food and everything that goes along with it. 	I don't know him from home but I did meet Jack here when he first arrived I think. He was on the beach. [Naked on the beach and not ashamed of it all. [Jack ambles up an hour or two into the party, a little full of alcohol and very much enjoying himself.

And looking for people standing under Ianto's mistletoe, because he has to do his best to make Ianto and Kitty realise that challenging him is only going to backfire on them.

Which is why the first thing he does when he sees Rose loitering under a particularly generous garland of mistletoe is swoop down on her, take her face in his hands and give her a warm, generous kiss.]

	[Well, Rose wasn't looking to get kissed at the party, considering where her loyalties lie and how much Spike meant to her. She's caught by surprise when Jack kisses her and it takes Rose a moment to register what was happening before she pulls back to break the kiss.] Jack!
