Day 226 l Christmas Party Mingle
[Ianto has, predictably, gone a bit overboard for the Christmas party he and Jack are throwing. The entire apartment has been decorated; there's a tree with gold and silver ornaments and twinkling lights, garlands draped over doorways, candles in every window and festive nicknacks scattered about. It looks like something out of a magazine, and may make visitors a little afraid to actually touch anything. There's also a lot of mistletoe around (one of the side effects of living with Captain Jack Harkness) so it's probably a good idea to keep one eye on the ceiling at all times.

Of course he's made plenty of coffee and some appetizers, so he hopes people really do respond to the invitation Jack sent out, otherwise there are going to be a hell of a lot of leftovers.]

Your boyfriend is Spike? [A low whistle] Okay, I didn't see that one coming. I mean, I know you and he were... black-banded [A quick grin for the euphemism] but I never... Well. Congratulations!

[And that's one couple he definitely won't be suggesting a double date with. He's not sure if Ianto and Spike have met yet, but he'd never ask Ianto to put up with someone who looks like John Hart, and that's just for starters!]

Not like we've made a big announcement about it. But yeah, we're happy. [She holds out her wrist to him, displaying the blue band.] Had to wait some time before we were able to get the blue bands after breaking the rules the first time. [And what a fun time that was.]

Thanks though. I'm glad for the vote of confidence.

[The concept of doppelgangers wasn't new to Rose, considering the fact that she was mistaken for someone else once.]
