[What better way to kick off a mingle than to broadcast the invitation to the entire dome?]

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

((ooc: This is an open mingle. Feel free to thread everywhere with anyone. As always, before threadjacking make sure it's okay by the player but otherwise have fun! Sam is available to chat with either by Video or in person and his thread is right Here. There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

Nothin' particular. I guess it's jus' the business owner in me. I may not be makin' a dime doin' this but that jus' means I gotto have a full bar t'show for my efforts.

I jus' want people t'enjoy themselves even if they're trapped here. It's the least I can do.

[Though if we're to be completely honest, there might be a little bit of guilt guiding his overly-friendly approach to Spike. They are friends though!]

[Sam meets that lethal stare with something firm and steadfast. Inside he might be concerned but he holds his ground and won't back down for anything. He wasn't the only one in all of this that was to blame and he certainly wasn't the only one in the dome that did things he shouldn't have but COULDN'T help.

Some of that tension leaks and he eases out of his stance with a nod.]

Good. [He'll top him off, letting the silence stretch. Course it gets him thinking...Thinking about how Buffy and Spike had history once and if he should be wondering if they did things they weren't supposed to too. It's a long shot though, right? They may not have even seen each other that day at all...

He's so tempted to say something, even starts to, but stops himself, thinking better of it. He doesn't want more tension between them.]

[Busted. He wracks his brain for a way around this without blatantly asking Spike if he did anything to Buffy.

He clears his throat, fidgeting awkwardly.]

I uh... Did you... see Buffy at all that day? [Playing the concerned boyfriend card here. Less did you guys do stuff, more... worry in his tone. Which isn't completely false, he didn't know what happened with her that day cause they didn't talk about it. So if Spike had SEEN her maybe he'd SEEN something. Being sneaky, sure, but his curiosity is getting the better of him here.]

	Most did, far as I can tell. Guess it only affects people with a soul. [He almost said 'living' but then it wouldn't have hit Rose. Maybe she's one of those vamps with a soul built in?
