Day 219 [video-->Action] Merlotte's Mingle - Open to All!
[What better way to kick off a mingle than to broadcast the invitation to the entire dome?]

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

((ooc: This is an open mingle. Feel free to thread everywhere with anyone. As always, before threadjacking make sure it's okay by the player but otherwise have fun! Sam is available to chat with either by Video or in person and his thread is right Here. There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

[ she's not sure how to explain what's wrong. maybe with anything else, at any other time, it would have felt effortless to talk to stefan about what's on her mind. she wants to; if they're going to be friends, she should.

she manages a reassuring smile. maybe they are some things she can say. ] Have you ever thought about... if there's one safe place we can be? [ it's not home. it's not here. elena's starting to believe there's not, and there never will be.

she looks at stefan. tries not to remember how maybe she felt security and safety with him, awhile ago. she doesn't mean it about them, or even necessarily about just herself and her life - it's about everyone they love and care about. she knows he knows that.

[Stefan isn't really sure what to say to that, not that won't make things at least a little awkward.] I don't think there ever is one. Not really. [The closest he'd ever gotten? When he wasn't worried about getting his heart broken. When the worst obstacle in his way was his brother. Looking back, things hadn't been so bad back then. But then Katherine had come back, and things had started spiraling.

Or maybe it had started the very moment he and his brother had stepped foot into Mystic Falls. Or when Katherine had showed up on their front porch. And yet, even then, there'd been a war raging not that far away.
