[What better way to kick off a mingle than to broadcast the invitation to the entire dome?]

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

((ooc: This is an open mingle. Feel free to thread everywhere with anyone. As always, before threadjacking make sure it's okay by the player but otherwise have fun! Sam is available to chat with either by Video or in person and his thread is right Here. There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

[Fortunately, it's not a terribly long story.] That day when our emotions were manipulated, I was given feelings for him. I know now it wasn't genuine, but at the time I could have sworn I was in love with him.

[She puts her blue-banded wrist on the table. Hopefully Sougo knows what it means without her getting into the details.] I was in his bar that day because I am trying to decide how to undo this. [Or... whether she should undo it. Not because she enjoys being attached to Tyki Mikk, but because what happened with Sougo could easily happen to more people if Tyki has reason to be angry.]

I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't want you two fighting... though it happened anyway.

I dunno. Maybe I watch too much TV where the main character, who is a hero and protects people, gets rewarded with something like recognition, or a special thanks from the town with a TV appearance, or a girl, just anything other than feeling like you're doing shit for no reason. [He scratches his head, a bit embarrassed.] That stuff probably doesn't happen in real life, though, unless you're a famous person... or have a sister.

[That makes quite a bit of sense, given all else she knows about Sougo. He wants to be important to people, and feels he's not. He wanted Lacus to be proud and pleased that he would try and protect her, and she interrupted and scolded him for doing it.]

Sougo, I'm sorry. I truly am grateful that you care enough about me to intervene. I wasn't happy about the fighting, but it was good that you arrived when you did.

If it's not too late, perhaps I can thank you properly now?
