[What better way to kick off a mingle than to broadcast the invitation to the entire dome?]

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

((ooc: This is an open mingle. Feel free to thread everywhere with anyone. As always, before threadjacking make sure it's okay by the player but otherwise have fun! Sam is available to chat with either by Video or in person and his thread is right Here. There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

[Someone isn't paying a lot of attention to where he sits. He hood blocks some of his vision, but more than that he just doesn't give a shit about the crowd or settling somewhere he's not wanted. His mood is black enough that he just wants to drink himself into a stupor, and if someone picks a fight then all the better.]

[Zelgadis flops down at the bar near the dart board, folds his arms on the bar and waits to be served something strong. He idly taps his stone fingers on the bar while he waits, which is really a pretty loud tapping.]

[The tapping is completely distracting and it's a good thing he's not actually playing someone and needing that concentration. He looks to the noise and the shrouded figure, wandering over to try and peer at him and see who it is.

Course he can see the blue and gets a shock of that lavender-silver hair and that's all he needs. He tugs lightly on the back of the hood, not enough to remove it but enough to be noticeable.]

What's with the hood? [He finds it curious considering they're in a bar, kind of pointless if you ask him.]

Because I don't like dealing with people's gawking. [His tone says that the subject is so not open for debate or opinions. The last damn thing he needs is another idiot trying to tell him whether he should or shouldn't care about what people think of his skin.]

But maybe it's just me, I'm used to aliens of all shape, size and color and trust me, when you see something that has an ass for a face you don't mind a few random blotches of stone.

Demon? Shit those things exist where you're from? [Obviously. And if the guy had his hood down he'd probably poke one of his pointy ears. So definitely not a deterrent for stupid things.]

I mean, we have a species with horns, red skin, fangs and pointy ears that look like the real thing, minus all the fire and shit. It's just some creature from a story though.

Any particular reason he threw together those things or was he just feeling frisky?
