Day 219 [video-->Action] Merlotte's Mingle - Open to All!
[What better way to kick off a mingle than to broadcast the invitation to the entire dome?]

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

((ooc: This is an open mingle. Feel free to thread everywhere with anyone. As always, before threadjacking make sure it's okay by the player but otherwise have fun! Sam is available to chat with either by Video or in person and his thread is right Here. There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

[Depending on how observant Spike is he might note the blue kid avoiding his path whenever he's up and about moving around the Bar. Helix will take up a comfortable spot with a drink in hand and sort of watch him a little before casting his gaze elsewhere. He'll be keeping an eye on him though.

It's not out of fear of Spike of course and honestly he's been debating just saying fuck it and approaching him. Last time they spoke he very nearly staked him, not out of hatred really, even if there was some anger behind it, but to... prove a point if anything. All fun and games and they both do things dangerously for kicks.

Two peas in a pod really. At least n some cases.

But ever since his run in with Eric he's been a little edgy around anyone he KNOWS is a vampire. Especially since Aidan took it really hard, though he's sure he can have Tyki and other things to thank for that. Eric is the least of his worries really. And even though Spike has expressed no interest in feeding on him, he doesn't trust him and one can't be too careful.

Especially since everything that's happened to him so far, happened out of the blue. No pun intended.

Even if Spike's not paying attention he will at least start to feel Helix's gaze shift on him and off again throughout the night. Keeping tabs.]

[ Oh, he does notice. It's kind of what he does, predator that he is and even on a quiet night like tonight he's keeping at least some of his senses on high alert. Slayers and stakes. He's always been careful (well, mostly careful. He tries.) but after the chip got shoved into his head he's become even more so.

For a while he acts as if he doesn't notice, quietly sipping his whiskey and waiting for Helix to make a move but impatience could practically be his middle name and after a few minutes he turns in his stool to look at the blue brat. ]

All except for Spike. Which is curious considering Eric is a much bigger bad than Spike could ever hope to be. Not that he's complaining that the other isn't chomping at the bit.]

I told you. I was keeping an eye on a threat and trust me, telling me you're not hungry, doesn't exactly make me feel better.

Well, I'd say he has decent control. First time he accidentally got a taste the first thing he did was warn me off.

And needless to say you can understand my caution. [Seeing as if Eric was holding back with Spike and Spike holds back with Helix... yeah]

Saya and now Eric, you're the only other Vamp I know that got a taste. Kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

[After all, out of all of them, Saya is the most unlikely to attack anyone. Of course, again, she wasn't herself. So long as people are normal he could relax a bit more. Also, little does he know Eric is now kind of his body guard since he'll feel it if he's in trouble.]
