Day 219 [video-->Action] Merlotte's Mingle - Open to All!
[What better way to kick off a mingle than to broadcast the invitation to the entire dome?]

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

((ooc: This is an open mingle. Feel free to thread everywhere with anyone. As always, before threadjacking make sure it's okay by the player but otherwise have fun! Sam is available to chat with either by Video or in person and his thread is right Here. There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

	[ at some point later, likely after nikola's bothered elena, she'll find a noticeably new and beaten up face approaching the bar. those fries were actually pretty good. she's shed the jumpsuit for a more appropriate suit and she's feeling a lot better for it. ] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	[ elena would notice, if she saw helen's face before - but for now all she notices is a new onw, and the scratches and bruises on it. she at the bar too, having just ordered another drink, when helen approaches. the light expression on her face morphs into concern. ] Hey, are you okay? [ she'd honestly almost forgotten about the little scratches after nikola's attention to it and for a moment she's surprised someone commented on them, but then she turns and offers a small, reassuring smile and a nod. ]

I will be. Nothing a little time won't heal.

[ and it's certainly not the worst thing she's ever been through. though she does pause at the girl's voice. it sounds vaguely familiar. ]

Indeed. [ ohhh elena, you've just piqued helen's curiosity tenfold. she turns a little more towards the girl, her look one of interest now. ]

Am I to take that to mean you're familiar with him or does my reputation precede me? [ she says it in such a way as to be teasing, but she wouldn't be surprised at this point. usually her reputation does precede her, so having it do so here would be just another day at the office. ]

	[ elena wasn't exactly aware there was a reputation to be had - but she can tell, at least from nikola's conversation with her, he thinks highly of her in his life. or maybe it's just helen has a certain strength about her that makes it obvious: she is someone to consider. she smiles. ] I was familiar with him.
