[Day 216] [BASEBALL - mingle]
[PLAY BALL!

Or cheerlead.

Or watch.

Or heckle.

It's an event everyone can enjoy!

There are some traditional snacks on hand. No alcohol sadly, but you can still have soda, hot dogs, and popcorn among other things. The bleachers provide enough seating for those who want to see exactly how vampires, humans, demons, mutants, etc. all play together. Not to mention some of them only recently even learned what baseball was. Never a dull moment at least.

In the end, it's the Flying Knights who win in this fairly evenly matched game, but there was some impressive action for both teams It should be an interesting season.]

(OOC: MINGLE! This is event style! Just put in your header whether your character is in the crowd, the purple dragons, the flying knights, cheerleading, before the game, or after the game or any combination! Please assume there was adequate IC announcement of this event!

Backdated to earlier in the day. Roster. It is not yet updated with recent additions from the last Yuuri post.)

Really? That's awesome that a--wait. Earthbending? [Now he is both interested and confused.] I think we're...getting mixed messages here. When I say bending I'm thinking of a guy whole a steel bar and just twisting it until it's in the shape of a pretzel.

You mean, just with his hands?

Yeah. That's why he's called a "strong man." He's so strong he can bend steel into whatever he wants. It's all part of the show. Usually at fairs or a circus.

And you're sure he's not just using earthbending to cheat?

...Well, I guess you wouldn't be, if you don't know what is. [Well, she shouldn't be that surprised. Richie looks mostly human, but that is not a naturally occurring hair color, so maybe he's not from a world all that similar to hers...]

["Bending" sounds kind of interesting and definitely something he wants to know more about.]

Nah, I'm sure he's not cheating. Strong men train to be able to bend metal like that, but...earthbending doesn't sound so different from geological manipulation, kind of a superpower back home. Not something just anyone can do.

Well, no. Only earthbenders can. [She rests her chin on her hand.] Superpower, huh?

Yeah, "superpower" is just a term for having an ability that the average person doesn't have and...taking it up a notch. Like being able to fly! [He even brings his hands up into the air as if taking off.]

[Awwww, cute.] Nobody where I come from can fly. Not really. Airbenders can manipulate air currents in order to propel themselves, but they're still using only external forces. Just ones that they happen to control.

That's still pretty cool! People who fly have all different ways of doing it back home. Some people manipulate gravity, some have wings, some just use pure propulsion force like rockets. There's a lot of variety in superhumans.

That's incredible. [And very strange to her. Why does no other world seem to make any sense?]
