[Day 216] [BASEBALL - mingle]
[PLAY BALL!

Or cheerlead.

Or watch.

Or heckle.

It's an event everyone can enjoy!

There are some traditional snacks on hand. No alcohol sadly, but you can still have soda, hot dogs, and popcorn among other things. The bleachers provide enough seating for those who want to see exactly how vampires, humans, demons, mutants, etc. all play together. Not to mention some of them only recently even learned what baseball was. Never a dull moment at least.

In the end, it's the Flying Knights who win in this fairly evenly matched game, but there was some impressive action for both teams It should be an interesting season.]

(OOC: MINGLE! This is event style! Just put in your header whether your character is in the crowd, the purple dragons, the flying knights, cheerleading, before the game, or after the game or any combination! Please assume there was adequate IC announcement of this event!

Backdated to earlier in the day. Roster. It is not yet updated with recent additions from the last Yuuri post.)

[ Data is not bothered by his team losing; honestly, the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge of a sport no longer widely played is adequate motivation for him to play. So he thinks nothing of approaching Kitty when he sees her after the game to congratulate her. ]

Kitty - congratulations. Your performance was most skillful.

[She smiles at the approaching android. He's become a familiar presence in this prison of theirs.] Thanks. You too. Those balls didn't know what hit 'em.

[ Uh-oh. It's a colloquialism. He furrows his brow for a tiny moment, processing it... and nods as he finds the connection. ]

Ah - thank you. It was a most fascinating experience; though I have possessed knowledge of the sport for some time, I have not previously had an opportunity to practically apply it.

There are individuals who hold a specific interest in the sport, and a less detailed understanding persists among many humans, but its widespread popularity declined in the twenty-first century.

[A nod.] That is what I'd call the future. Always hard to tell if someone is just from an advanced world or a future one.
