It's an event everyone can enjoy!

There are some traditional snacks on hand. No alcohol sadly, but you can still have soda, hot dogs, and popcorn among other things. The bleachers provide enough seating for those who want to see exactly how vampires, humans, demons, mutants, etc. all play together. Not to mention some of them only recently even learned what baseball was. Never a dull moment at least.

In the end, it's the Flying Knights who win in this fairly evenly matched game, but there was some impressive action for both teams It should be an interesting season.]

[ Roxy meets Calliope's gaze in that instant. Hearing that reminds her just how scared and insecure and shy she is-- and that is enough to get her to tear up a little. Her eyes are shiny, and she grabs Calliope's hand. She doesn't do anything with it-- just holds it as they walk along. ]

Aw, Calliope... you're my best friend. I could never be scared of you. You're such a sweet girl. I'm glad we can talk like this, too. I've always wanted to get to know you, you know?

[The hand grab catches her by surprise. She isn't really sure what to do about it, if anything. She'll let Roxy hold her hand, though.]

I do. Hiding everything was never what I wanted, but at least we have our chance now.

[She isn't sure what else to say to that. It's a lot of things that gives her a lot of things to think about and feel. But she does follow it up with something she thinks is important.]

You're my very best friend, too.

[ Roxy grins at her, and it's painfully genuine. She feels really happy, really relieved. And she didn't realize she was nervous until just then, either.

She breathes a sigh. ]

I'm real glad.

[ And then rapidfire after that comes the clear thought: I'm going to send my best friend off to die. By fighting the warden and all its nefarious devices, she is agreeing to let Calliope die. Roxy can't maintain eye contact after that, so slowly turns her head away, looking around at the scenery. ]

[ Roxy walks in silence, unsure of what to do or say now. But it's quickly that Calliope leads them along to the apartments. Roxy only starts to recognize the way when they're nearly there. She resolves to drink a lot and to try and just have fun. No time for feeling bad.

She only lets go of Calliope's hand when she dives into the alpha apartment to snatch up something to drink. ]

[Calliope, meanwhile, heads into the cherub apartment, in order to make a quick double-check that she hid anything too incriminating in the living room. She leaves the door open a crack for Roxy to come in once she has secured the booze.]

[Once everything is in order, she tugs off her hoodie and settles down on the sofa, stretching out and humming tunelessly. She feels better than she has in a while. She doesn't even mind leaving the baseball game anymore.]

[Calliope returns, holding something behind her back.]

So, um, what I'm about to show you is purely theoretical! I can't tell you whether or not you make it to god tier, but I was able to determine the traditional Rogue outfit and Void colors. So...

[She pulls a drawing of God Tier Roxy out from behind her back and presents it shyly to ~~senpai~~ Roxy. Aside from the outfit's canonical accuracy, the drawing also has pink butterfly wings.]

Oh my god?? Callie, you are hella fucking talented. Look at that. I'm a fuckin' thief in the night, bandit mask on and gloves done up tight. Unreal, unthinkable, but the world hasn't yet met jewel thief extraordinaire Ro to the Lal. I'm gonna steal the void right out from under the warden's noses, pick that shit up and pretend it was mine all along. It's gorgeous. Can I keep it?
