[Someone was practicing. Between Yuuri getting stuck on the island, and having seen her double do this very same thing, Kitty was determined to learn how to use her phasing in a way to allow her to levitate or walk on air or whatever it could be called. She knew her ability didn't make air solid, but it was more along the lines of moving her own molecules through the air molecules in a way that let her move upward. It was kind of awkward to think about, really, but, back home, she'd been doing some looking around into how her powers actually worked. It kind of made sense in her head, at least.

So, here she was, hovering at varying heights above the ground throughout the day, falling and trying again, much like someone learning to ride a bicycle without training wheels. She was in Sector 0, as that floating island was her goal.

She was deep in concentration each time, so any distraction might pop her out of it and cause her to drop on whoever was below!]

[ the prison is an interesting place with a great deal of interesting species castiel had never considered to exist. demons that were relatively good, girls who could lift mack trucks, people back from the dead; and now, a girl climbing into thin air.

of course, being an angel means that he's not so much shocked as curious. when he appears before her in mid-air, he looks at her with a scrutinization that's not unkind, but obviously cursory. ]

You're not flying... [ and it's not teleportation. how you do that, kitty? ]

[She didn't notice someone watching her at first, as she was pretty deep in concentration. She'd gotten herself up about 15 feet off the ground at this point, hovering as she worked on taking her next step up. She'd been working her way up as if there were invisible steps in the air, and she carefully balanced and moved her leg up to take that step--]

Wha-?

[She looked at him, distracted from her movement by Castiel's sudden appearance in her face. And that semi-solid feeling she had going to keep her up suddenly disappeared.]

EEE!

[She squealed as she started to drop... fast!]

[ castiel watched; assuming that kitty was aware of whatever it is she was doing; playing a game, maybe? it wasn't until she thudded against the ground that he realized that wasn't the case, and then the guilt followed.

not a second after, he appeared beside her. it was probably a good idea to figure out if she was conscious or not-- or harmed. that was pretty high off the ground, but he wouldn't expect it to have been completely fatal.

his face, close to hers as he inspected, reflected his surprise when he saw that she was human -- evolved to do whatever it was she was doing up in the air, there. ]

	Lyle was out for a walk with Frederick. He didn't notice that anything was strange, more focused on where he was going. Frederick however notices the shadow on the ground] Flying! Flying! [Lyle looks back at Frederick before looking up] What? (Reply to this) (Thread)

[Kitty hadn't heard someone walking underneath her, either. She was focused, concentrating, balancing as she moved foward in a straight line, much like she was on a balance beam. She almost didn't hear the Haro, either, but the tinny voice broke through. The fact that it was with someone else caught her attention, too.]

Huh?

[She looked down, concentration on her situation gone, the fact that she was about 20 feet above them forgotten for a moment. Then it was like someone had pulled the ground out from under her.

Oh... not again.]

EEEEEEK!

[Down she went! Right at Lyle and Frederick!]
