I think Daryl has reached out to you by now, and I apologize for taking awhile to do so myself, but I just wanted to thank you again for helping us out the way you did. I'd like to pay you back somehow. Any favors you need or may need in the future, don't hesitate to ask.

This city agency does things a little differently than back at home. A lot of things actually, one being the shifts. Back in Georgia they had standard 8 hours a shift, 5 days a week. Now it's 4 ten hour shifts for the week. One day less I guess, and it's significantly more...hectic in the city.

Hours and days aside, I wanted to let you guys know in case you tried to call or message me. I can still check up on them when it's slow but for those four days my hands will be tied as far as quick communication.

Is everyone doing alright? No more goat legs? Mermaid tails?

I've never written more speeding tickets in my life. Be careful, no one is paying attention on the road.

Might be easier for you to get a bike. They're cheaper, the insurance and gas is cheaper too, you just take a three day class or something for the license. I think I could set one of those up for you if you'd like? We gotta send the DUIs over to take the classes again so those are a constant.

It's alright, very fast paced, not as lax as it was back home but we had a small town so I get it. Only problem is the young slick shots who haven't gotten their experience yet. They don't want an old country boy telling them how to do things best.

yeah i will. dont mind the walk so much, just the damn idiots who don't know what the hell they're doin. act like they aint never seen a damn road before.

damn forgot bout that shit. yeah, guess i should. sign me up for that class of yours. you're prolly right bout the bike. just need to find a good one that someone aint gonna try to rip me the fuck off for. sure as hell aint buying new. dont feel like being 90 and still paying that crap off.

it'll be their asses when they get into trouble, not yours. i say dont give two thoughts bout it. just focus no you.

I'll get you signed up and get the info and papers to your room. Should be a walk in the park seeing as you already know how to ride. Check the papers for an owner selling, always more personal that way and it's no salesman ripping you off. And if you need help with a payment I could help with that too. They gave me a patrol car so I don't need one.

It'll be their asses when it's the difference between getting shot or loosing a criminal, then it's the victim's ass. It's not getting blown off that gets me. I don't care. It's the ego that gets people killed that I can't stand.

So if I just happen to see a good deal on a bike and get it to you, you'd do what exactly?

It's the first time you've been offered help with it too. Which is alright, you know. The stuff means about as much to me as it does to you. That being said, I don't see the harm in just taking it, right?

Don't gotta apologize. You're way, way too nice. Felt less like helping and more like world turnover-y. So, don't worry about it, seriously.

It was help, you could've just pointed us in the right direction but you went beyond that. Too nice or not, I don't take those things for granted.

It's.. no big, really. Knew what it was like to go at it solo.. and I pretty much wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Then you knew it was a big deal. Even still, Daryl, Carol, and I really appreciate it, and my offer for help still stands whenever you should need it.

Okay, okay. You caught me. I'm waving my white flag of modesty. I'll remember that. Glad I could help you guys out. It's kinda my thing. It's the least I could do, seem like you've all been through a lot.

Oh, um. I didn't read or watch any of your stuff. Just.. so you know.

We have, but it seems like everyone else here has had their fair share as well.

That's alright. It's not exactly something I'd sit down to watch on a nice day off, and I wouldn't really recommend it. Don't know why people would watch it anyways.

More or less. Then you have the Glee people that just have high school dramas and boy do I kind of miss that, yeesh.

Believe me, preachin' to the choir here.

Man, sounds rough. Should've invested in the promising field of pizza delivery, man. Just saying.

All good though, no new and unexpected body parts as of yet.

It sounds worse than it really is. Shifts go by fast enough, and it helps me sleep. You know I don't have the best sense of direction. I'd get lost delivering a pizza or something.

Good to hear. How is the promising field of pizza delivery treating you? Saving up for that Challenger?

That's good at least, that you're sleeping. Took me awhile to do that here, the whole normal hours thing. Heh. Maybe I should program your GPS for you so you can't ever get lost here.

Man, I wish. I gotta stop spending it on comics and video games first.

I can work the GPS just fine, I'm just worried about paying attention to it instead of the road. You can't look away from there but a second without a person running in front.

You probably should, but it's your hard earned money and it isn't like we have bills, I guess.

This is why you're the law and I'm barely dodging a bad stereotype.

True. I need to motivate myself is all. Place makes it easy to be kind of lazy.

You like video games so much, why don't you do some work with them? Seems like a win/win situation to me, motivating, and productive.

I know a couple of good deterrents from lazy if you'd like.

I could. But, that'd turn a hobby into a job. Don't want to hate my hobby. Kidding. Actually, I was a RHIM major. Probably gonna go back to that at some point if I'm here long enough.

I'll take you up on some of those though.

You should, if it makes you happy, take advantage. From what I hear they're not exactly picky about credentials. Can't really be.

Good. I'll come by to make sure you're keeping busy, maybe stick to my stereotype, bring some donuts and coffee.

I think that you can handle the change, you'll be fine. As long as you eat well before your shifts, get good lunch while you're on shift, and everything. If you need anything let one of us know too. We're all around.

I'm fine, though. I'm starting to look for a job.

We all will be.

That's good to hear, I'm really happy for you Carol, you deserve good things. You'll let me know if I can help with anything? Daryl is still being prickly about it, as usual.
