I am Merlin. I don't know you people. I am no one's servant or friend. So why are there arguments on this thing about the use of my name and use of magic? My name is may as well be a swear, and have no complaints to it's use as such. As for the discussion of sorcery - it is a power I no longer use, not that it should be any concern of yours.

	There are wizards here. You are something of a legend to our community. Most of the wizards here went to Hogwarts at one time or another. At home, we do need to keep magic from the muggles, but here I isn't persecuted the way it seemed to be in your time. It's an honor to meet you. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I've never heard of Hogwarts. Magic wasn't kept secret in my time, but it wasn't particularly common either. The only ones who were persecuted for it were weak and used it for ill means. It's only an honor because you don't know me. History is kind to those on the winning side. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hogwarts is a school for witches and wizards built after your time. There were also weak wizards, or those called death eaters who used magic for the same ill means.

There was a war before my time, but my family was involved. They really weren't on the winning side either. You are right about history there. I also understand that even the greatest figures were not all sunshine and light.
