Who: EVERYBODY.
What: The TWD crew is hosting a 4th of July celebration. Food, alcohol, fireworks -- come one, come all.
When: Thursday, July 4. All evening.
Where: Down by and around the lake.
Rating/Warnings: Just off the top of my head I'm going to guess language, juvenile delinquents, and possibly some public drunkenness. It is the 4th, after all.
Status: OPEN.

The basic schedule will look like this:

12:00 PM - Those wishing to help setup start arriving.
5:00 PM - Party goers not involved in setup start arriving.
6:30 PM - Grilling starts.
6:45 PM - Plates are being served.
8:00 PM - The Grill is fired down.
9:00 PM - Daryl and Rick shoot off the homemade rockets, six total.
9:45 PM - Hermione's grand finale firework show.
Cleanup and kicking people out will happen whenever people start getting tired. This is a Southern even, after all. They'll let it last high into the morning if that's what people want! No passing out by the lake, though.

NOTE: This is how the group thread is going to go down - Location threads have already been started within the post. The area and time are designated in the subject line. Comment to the areas you want your characters to play at, and put in the subject line of your comment who is participating in the thread or if it is open.

For example, if you decided to comment the GRILLING AREA - 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM thread, you would change the subject line to OPEN TO GRILLERS or DARYL/OPEN TO OTHERS WAITING IN LINE FOR FOOD. Then, as soon as someone joined, you may change the subject line to DARYL/RICK - CLOSED so that everybody would know that it's now become just a one-on-one convo between the two conversations.

Can I be in more than one subthread at once? Yes. Because there are events happening at different times, your character can easily be flitting around from person to person, mingling their lil' butt off. Just remember that it makes sense. You probably can't be standing in line at the same time as you're wandering along the forest edge waiting for everybody else to get their food first as those two events wouldn't work. But you could definitely be waiting in line for food, have a conversation, and then go sit down to eat and have another conversation. It's a party! Mingle!

And if in doubt? Ask! (Oh, and don't forget to tag yourself as you throw your characters in!)

I've added plenty of description for everyone to know what they are looking at, but I am not perfect! If I have forgotten something, feel free to pretend that I didn't and mention that it's there.

Last Note: Snap pops and sparklers are available for everyone.

"Don't I know it." He smirked bitterly, shuffling some of the dirt under his boots. Nothing worth anything was ever easy. It was something his dad told him a long time ago, and it was there very thing he kept trying to convey to Daryl. Right as it was, the truth was just a bitter thing to swallow sometimes.

Some bad weather or inconvenient circumstance would without a doubt ruin this day for many. Rick hadn't taken in the expansion of just how large their little barbeque had become until everyone had shown up. It didn't intimidate him any. That was all part of his nurturing, willful nature. He just liked helping people and making them happy. Those closest to him most of all. It would be more than a disappointment if something bad had happened. But for the first time in a long time, it hadn't, and a very large wave of relief had come over Rick when it did.

But what stopped his thought process was Michonne's admission. Not that the woman was incapable of opening up and enjoying herself, Rick had no room to be talking with his behavior in the past year. He was learning trust again too. Yet he didn't expect it so quickly from her. That much could be said when his brows perked in interest, his lips following with a smile. "Now do you really mean that, or are you just being nice?"

Rick knew just by stature Michonne was a no bullshit kind of woman. But he had to ask the question if only to carry on with the easy going nature of the conversation. After all, if she was comfortable with it, why not?

"Of course I mean it." She did. She'd been sceptical to start with, unsure how a BBQ of all things could help everyone. Apparently not everyone even came from their world either, so Independence Day wasn't something that everyone even celebrated.

It was more about everyone coming to have a good time, and Michonne could appreciate that. She had no idea what things had been like in this place, but things weren't exactly stress free for her right then. As much as she wasn't entirely sure about coming to the BBQ, she'd found herself having a good time.

"It was a good idea, a nice night." And from the number of people intoxicating themselves there would be more people agreeing.

If Rick could convince Michonne out of her skepticism, then maybe this had been a real success. He'd count the many smiling faces he saw today as an assurance to that. But hearing such from her was convincing to say the least.

"We can thank Little Daryl for that." He was the one who was talking about the fourth after all. The miniature version of his friend looked as though he enjoyed himself too, which was a very big star in Rick's book.

"I'm glad to hear you thought so. And that you came. I know it's a big jump, from where we were, to this." First they're battling starvation, other people, and the dead. Now they're eating hotdogs and trying to get over 'every day' bumps in the road. It was enough to make a sane man mad. Rick didn't consider himself as normal as either of those categories. "Maybe when you get to the city and can start taking a deeper look it'll get easier."

That was something that Michonne had been wondering about; the children. She'd been mostly watching a lot of the interactions, figuring out who knew who, Carol and Daryl's friends, the girl with the fireworks, seeing Gretel around. The children themselves had made her wonder.

"About that..." She hadn't been sure at first, but through the night it had been more and more of a question. "Little Daryl is actually, well, little Daryl, right?" Which was odd, but then what wasn't? "Which means that the other one...he's..."

Well, he actually looked a lot like a skinnier version of Carl. Hair a little darker, frame a little leaner. But the mannerisms. Michonne couldn't exactly help that she was watching so much. "It's a change, but then, so was before." She was starting to, well, to come around really. Gretel and Anakin seemed to help a little, explanation wise -not that they explained it any better, just that Daryl and Rick's explanations made more sense.

His eyes followed Michonne's face as she formed the words she deemed necessary for the question, ever patient and calm. He was curious as to when she'd ask about the little versions. Rick or Daryl hadn't wanted to overload her too much on the information, giving her only what was necessary in the passing days, letting her put the pieces together in a sanely fashion.

"Yeah, he sure is." Rick nodded in confirmation, a small smirk pulling to his face because he'd grown very fond of his friend's younger self. The attachment and protectiveness he felt towards Daryl automatically carried over to his younger counterpart, and that had only grown with the time he'd spent with him. "If you don't believe by sight then a couple of minutes with him should do. There'll be no questioning, that's Daryl."

The other one could've only been one person. "Me." It was odd to admit it, much less live and work around a younger version of ones self. Rick didn't know how he was doing it and keeping straight headed. Maybe that just stopped awhile ago.

"Richard." He told her, so she would be able to call for either of them and not get confused. It just made things easier, and Rick hadn't gone by that name since he lived in Kentucky. "Another one of the unexplainable awkward things about this place. Drove Daryl mad when he first showed up, eventually Richard did and...I guess I just try to deal with it and not think on it much. They both go between me and Carol to fit our work schedules, Beth's been real helpful with them too. Steadily, so has Daryl."
