	Because Derek's got this dumb ass streak sometimes that he just can't get over. I think it's because family and pack were always the same thing for him growing up so he just thinks you guys will always see each other that way. For me it's just that family isn't always related. 	Careful Stiles almost sounds like we're becoming friends. I doubt Derek would be able to handle that. I suppose I could. Never thought of it. But so far all I know is I'm very protective of Sam.
