Penelope was still a little shocked at herself for agreeing to participate, let alone write a short article about the experience for the paper, but here she was having gotten roped into helping.

Actually getting roped into helping was very on brand for her, but generally she got to remain on the sidelines or in the background while doing so. This? This was public speaking.

Historically not a great success where she was concerned.

"Round three.” No one moved. Possibly because she’d been barely audible. She cleared her throat and tried again. Louder. “Round three, five minutes!"
