WHO: Fela and OPEN!
WHAT: Going to the tavern to get a drink...not quite what she expects
WHEN: Monday night
WHERE: The Electric Lady
WARNINGS: TBD
STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Fela had been here a few days now, and to be honest, she was lonely. Sure, Elodin and Kvothe were here, but Kvothe was busy doing...whatever it was Kvothe did for fun, and Elodin...well...she was fond of his classes in a disturbing sort of way, but it wasn't like she was going to socialize with him. If he even socialized.
So evening found her sitting in her room, reading the paper of this strange little town for some idea of what was going on around her. She'd read the same paragraph a dozen times before she realized she wasn't getting anywhere and folded it back onto the table. She needed to relax. Take a break. Nothing was going to happen in the next few minutes, and she wasn't going to discover a way out of here with her head starting to pound like it was.
A drink, some music...surely taverns were universal, and would do her a great deal of good. So she grabbed her phone and searched for one, coming up with one called The Electric Lady that was not far away from where she was. She smiled, it sounded like a good sort of place, and friendly to women. She stuck her debit card in her pocket and made her way out onto the street.
Approaching the place, though, something was wrong. The noise that was pounding out of there she could feel on the sidewalk from yards away - was that the music? She grimaced a little - it was surely different than what she knew back home, but what choice did she have? At least she'd have a story to take back home to Wil and Simmon. Steeling her ears against the onslaught, she stepped inside, only to be stopped at the door.
"ID?"
She stared at him, blankly.
"Do you have your ID?"
Her what?
She looked around for someone to explain to her what was going on, but other people just pushed by her, seemingly annoyed that she was in the way.
"Uh...I'm...here with a friend..."
Desperately, her eyes scanned the room, searching in the vain hope that there'd be someone here she knew.
